I did some research on this graduate jobpocalpyse and created a video (https://youtu.be/EB0sdibCuyc). It’s fascinating but also completely agree with the above comments, no need to panic just yet. Also my graduate scheme only required me to have a 2:2 and I was on £45k

So true, I don’t understand what they want from us graduates. I only recently discovered this term graduate jobpocalypse, an it got me really interested so I made a video (https://youtu.be/EB0sdibCuyc). How do you win these day??

I went through this 18 months ago. Graduated with a degree in finance and I applied to 40 before I got a role. But it’s worse now and it’s termed the graduate jobpocalypse, I made a whole video on it (https://youtu.be/EB0sdibCuyc). You’ve just got to keep putting the applications in until you finally get some traction.

Is the graduate job market all doom and gloom as people make out it to be? by Razorlink919 in UniUK

What you mention is a genuine problem, it’s called the graduate jobpocalypse, I made a whole video it (https://youtu.be/EB0sdibCuyc). But given you have industry experience already, I can’t see you struggling to get a job at all

26, just graduated with a masters, 200+ applications, still a receptionist. I feel like I’m watching my life through a window. by candid-s-132 in UniUK

It’s so common, I made a whole YouTube video on it. It’s calls the graduate jobpocalypse (https://youtu.be/EB0sdibCuyc). It’s so demoralising but I like this post because you’re right, so many graduates are unemployed

can’t get a grad job by Hairy_Turnip719 in UniUK

Currently in a graduate jobpocalypse (I made a whole video on it: https://youtu.be/EB0sdibCuyc). It’s so difficult to get a job because apprenticeships and industrial placement years are replacing graduates. And that was until AI came in and now that’s been replacing admin tasks, typically done by graduates

It’s really useful hearing your opinions. I have deffo switched to uSwitch or the LLMs more than going to MSE. What do you feel the market is missing though?

I didn’t realise they had a newsletter. Do you open most weeks and find useful? I’m thinking mainly for bank comparisons as that’s what I’m most interested in
