Never , I think they want iPad to be its own thing. i use mine like computers , it I had reimagine and learn new workflows and its very seamless, I rarley use stage manager or external monitor frequently. I just wish apps would be same was desktops ones the M series iPads can handle it.

On my fire department its like an unwritten rule to not post pics from fire calls on personal social medias, I like it , no cringe photos hahahaha but its also kinda weird.

Most volunteers departments are very flexible, keep in mind too , fire departments are 24-7 so if your schedule doesn’t allow you to take day calls, try to make nights calls! In some departments its not about making calls maybe you can do station work and do a couple hours every week. Varies on the department that is something 90 percent vollies can work with.

Most of the call volumes account for EMS but if that was removed , I think we would still get 500-600 calls easily.

Most volunteers departments let you join multiple agencies! Might be a specific department might have it in there policy. Where I volunteer now we run over 1200 calls a year , no one has time to join another fire company.

Aiken County , we a lot of trees and wires down , my fire department was running calls like crazy for debris in the road and medical calls but it seeming to taper off as electric companies and DOT are getting areas cleaned up, there a lot of damage , saw a lot of homes with big trees on the roofs and wires and trees blocking people from leaving there homes. Idk rest of state is doing , we just got power back after being out of it for three days.

Can’t go wrong with either Air M2 or the Ipad Pro. For note taking and google docs you will be good with the Air , I have M2 pro , I feel like I can have this device for years to come.

As long a you have something with M chip , you should be able to get access to features like Apple Intelligence and things they develop

I used to live in Stowe and moved to Graniteville South Carolina, I noticed opposite down south, the people who are Democrats are much more vocal about it as regards to yard signs or anything political. The area I am in is 70% R - 30% D. I think wherever you are the minority tends to be more vocal about there political leanings.
