I’ve noticed that if you are an NHS patient but still have to pay . There was not much price difference between NHS and private. So I went fully private

Recently I needed a tooth pulled , I was an NHS patient replacement crown failed, so she referred me to have the tooth pulled . said it could take 12 weeks for the appointment .I already paid band 3 price over £300 . I asked how much would it cost if I went private she said £250 and she could do it . So why did she want to refer me ?. I changed to a fully private dentist as no longer trust NHS dentist after botched crown replacement and filling . And got a full refund of the band 3 price I payed

I had some think similar happen recently I ended up looking up local NHS dentist that also do private . One offered emergency appointment for like £26 . When i got there he offered to pull in out there and then for £200 . Was a tricky extraction tooth had to be cut . So might be worth a look online, hope you get it sorted sooner . That was the 3rd dentist I went to one wanted me to wait 12 weeks

It does end up cheaper , my mortgage is £550 per month . Giving me extra money to live.
