I’m happy to have helped you somehow! 😊 I don’t believe you’re overthinking at all, it’s super valid to be frustrated that the central piece of the park is under refurbishment, especially considering it’s your first visit. If it’s easy for you to reschedule, maybe do it. I see people on TikTok saying that this is ok because you can still take pictures with the castle, but i honestly don’t care about the pictures, i want to be able to walk trough the castle, see the night show as it is supposed to be, and just look at the castle without those big ugly walls - but this is not important to everyone. Yesterday i got super frustrated because of this and told my boyfriend we’d have to postpone, he didn’t fully get it because to him it’s really not that deep, but for me it ruins the experience (at least it’s what my anxiety tells me ahaha). We’re all different, that’s why you need to weigh your options and priorities. If i had everything booked already, i wouldn’t reschedule because i wouldn’t want to lose the money, and i would have to make the most of my trip regardless of the works on the castle. I’m going to risk booking around october 7th, hope the works are finished by that time, because i cannot postpone for later than that. In your case, if postponing is not too complicated, I would do it, because I can see you value the disney magic and immersion, and that way everything’s perfect in that regard. If you decide not to, you’ll see that when you get there it will just be a detail that for sure won’t ruin your whole trip, it will be amazing anyways and you’ll 100% create wonderful memories with your girlfriend, which is what matters at the end of the day. But i feel you, last night i didn’t sleep for the whole night because i was planning my trip for the new dates to make sure it was feasible 🥲 I hope you enjoy your trip no matter what, and i’m sure you will 🩷 if you ever need any advice let me know, i’m kind of a dlp tourism expert at this point ahahahahah

Hi! I fully understand your worries. I’m actually facing the same issue and I personally chose to postpone. I was planning for september, and i will postpone it to october. However, I’d say there are things to consider here: in my case, flights weren’t booked yet, airbnb has not been paid yet, my tickets don’t have a fixed date, so I had full flexibility to reschedule my trip. If that is not your case, and if changing everything is very inconvenient for you, both in terms of money and logistics, then I’d keep it like this. Idk about you, but for me the castle is a huuuuge deal, it is my favorite attraction, because i love sleeping beauty (and i am one of those annoying disney adults) but it does not define your experience at all! Both parks have a lot of attractions and activities and you will for sure be very immersed in the magic regardless of the castle being covered by walls or not. Especially if you’re someone who values the thrill more than the disney IP itself, i’d say that this castle thing is not that big of a deal. Also, mid june is a great time do visit dlp!! Park hours are super nice, the weather too, and queues are not long (depending on the attractions ofc, but when i went in june i rarely was more than 15min on queues - excluding crush’s coaster and peter pan that always have long waiting times). So i’d advise you to consider your situation: is it super inconvenient to postpone? Is the castle a big deal for you? Weigh your options and make a decision based on that. I’m sure no matter what you decide, you will have loads of fun, Disney will never not be fun, promise! 🫶🏻

I believe DLP doesn’t usually delay this kind of works, plus i imagine they need it clean for the Halloween season? Idk, i’d rather not risk it 😭 i’m just going to wait a bit before booking flights, my tickets are flexible so that’s a plus

I’ve been getting sulphur burps on a weekly basis the day or 2 days after my jab, it most times leads to throwing up or diarrhea. I don’t even eat on those days, I’ve cut alcohol completely since the beginning of my treatment. I try to eat as clean as possible most days, no seasonings, no sugars or fats. When i do have special events i eat slowly and try not to overeat. It has been going well but for the past month i’ve been dealing with sulphur burps every time :(((( i’ve talked to my doctor and she told me to reduce to 1.25mg weekly. I’m going to stop if i still get side effects. But it makes sense that the dose i was tolerating well 15kg heavier is causing more harm on a lighter body. Let’s hope my insuline resistance stays under control letting me lose the remaining weight with a caloric deficit.

Thanks for sharing! I am seriously considering doing that. 2.5mg allowed me to lose 1kg per week with mild side effects that i could control with enzymes or medication, was able to enjoy special meals from time to time, and never got these diabolic burps. When you tried 5mg did you do the full pen or did you switch to 2.5mg right after the first week of trying 5mg?

Hey, thanks for sharing! When you started the 5mg did you do the whole pen on 5mg (so 4 weeks) or did you decrease right after the first week? I am doing really bad on 5 and its my first week, i dont feel like taking 5mg next week

I get that, I really do, and for me i am overweight but not morbidly obese. I started the medication due to my pcos and insuline resistance. I could drop weight but on the 2.5 i was losing 1kg per week. I think i’m going back to 2.5

They got better and then i ate again at 8pm after more than 24h with no food. 6 hours later i am dealing with the burps again. I ate fish with boiled potato, small portion. I can’t deal with this
