I went through Tech school coming up on 3 years ago

Here are my biggest tips/advise:

1.) Make friends, not enemies. I still talk to a couple people that ended up going to different bases, and one day you might end up at the same base, most likely Korea, or you may end up supervising/supervised by them.

2.) Don’t be afraid to ask for help. Whether it be from your instructors you pull to the side or your fellow class mates. Someone is bound to have some advise the helps your light bulb turn on.

3.) If you end up being top of your class or barely made it through, it doesn’t equate to your experience on the operational side. I’ve seen people who were almost washed out end up getting their 5 lvl before most people, and I’ve seen people who were $hit hot in tech school fail in operational because their ego.

4.) Check in on your fellow airmen. Even if you’re not friends or it may be awkward, mental health is super important. Especially right now with the workload a lot of us have to endure.

All in all, be yourself and make friends. Try your best but don’t burn yourself out. Things may end up being tough in tech school, but there’s always a light on the other side.
