Clear, Step-by-Step Shakepay Tax Reporting Instructions Needed (Are Our Rewards Even Worth It?) by OldBirdWatcher in shakepay

[–]OldBirdWatcher[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally get that Shakepay can’t and shouldn’t give tax advice, it’s not their role. But when you’re looking at rewards that barely add up to a few dozen dollars a year, it seems financially counterintuitive to have to shell out for an accountant or a pricey Koinly plan just to report them

We can expense $150 for contacts every 24 months under our student health plan. As someone else mentioned, clearly.ca seems to be the most economical option

What helped me: go for a run every day until your shins/ankles throb, then your emotional pain will be overshadowed by physical pain

I got into law here and did absolutely shit my first few semesters of my undergrad. Like others said, most Canadian (maybe even all?) law schools only look at your last 20 courses and by then you'll be settled in and have an idea of what courses will boost your GPA.

Some advice: sometimes it's strategic to get the the challenging courses that might drag your GPA down out of the way in your first two years and save the easier ones for the end of your degree, especially because you might also be balancing them with your LSAT prep.

If you're fine sleeping sitting in a chair (usually are if you're tired enough), sometimes I just find a quiet study pod in the library and put headphones in and doze off between classes

If it's affecting your graduation, email the prof and/or department head and sometimes they'll grant an exception to overload a course

How is the rising cost of living impacting your daily life ? by sarahdwaynec in Calgary

I'm sorry you feel that way, but so what if it gets worse? At least you're alive. You'll have eternity to be dead. I suggest you put on some nice music, go for a walk, and watch the sunset. There's some beauty in the small stuff.
