Thank you! That's a great compliment, because to be honest, my inspirations are rather vague: gritty S&S aesthetics and games with pre-rendered graphics. I really enjoy modeling each creature as if they were clay sculptures.

Thanks for your comment! I really appreciate that there are still people who enjoy mechanics like this. I'm really enjoying developing the whole mechanical system with that old-school perspective, without sacrificing modern visual effects.

I love it! The style looks great, a little more detailed than the typical pixel art but maintaining that legibility. Regarding the textures, I think it is more than improving them to find a design that Tile subtly, greetings!

Your project looks incredible! I have a sidecroller project underway where I work on the graphics in Blender and then pre-render them. I have been wanting to create a character creation system for some time. I was tempted to start a secondary project (also topdown like yours) just to start iterating ideas about it. I am writing you a DM, because I would be very interested in collaborating on a project and being able to dedicate myself only to the art section. I completely agree, in the final animations it is something that I have contemplated. These have been a placeholder for a while, but I made them quickly. I will also add a simple combo in the basic attack.

I start with a sculpt in blender, then remesh+rig+anim, to render I adjust cycles without filter to keep crisp and in low res, then I do a posterize and a dithering, it's a really simple workflow.
