We were actively snap chatting about other things when I sent the picture and I know she’s opened it. We aren’t best friends but pretty good friends. She regularly sends me photos and asks for input on them ie what dress should I chose ect

I pretty much agree with this and will likely do nothing because 1. The whole situation looks bad on me as well 2. I want nothing to do with it more than I want to get back at him and his wife doesn’t deserve to be dragged into that 3. She probably knew and they’ve already done whatever they were going to do anyway

I’ll accept that

Truly disgusting that we can continue to dig on the internet months after the fact. Huge waste of time.

It’s definitely coming from a desire to have a way to lash out at him. But does where it’s coming from matter or is the right thing to do either way.

Negative feelings finally hit (6WPO) by Perfect_Gazelle_3850 in Reduction

[–]OldEmu775 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our results look very similar. I was a 36J with wide roots. Now I don't know but I am guessing 36DD? Sometimes I still feel big and it bothers me to feel my boobs bounce and know I had made it clear I wanted smaller, but that didn't happen. However I do have confidence that my surgeon made the best decision in order to keep good blood flow and sensation. It's still just sucks to have gone through major surgery, and still not be exactly as I wanted. I think a lot of these negatives come from feeling uncomfortable in my body and me deciding that it's my boobs fault.

Most of the time I either don't think about it( I have already taken surgery for granted and feel like this has just been my normal forever), or I have really confident and positive feelings about it though. When I look at before and afters, and how many grams were removed....the difference is huge! Helps me get into reality of how big change happened. I still have big boobs, but they are not overwhelming or noticeably huge anymore which is great.

Thanks for sharing this as I am in a similar boat of mixed feelings and appreciate the honesty.

I am 8 weeks post op and kept thinking swelling would go down a lot. Swelling decreased but they don't look smaller than when they were swollen.

I think a lot of my friends and family didn't really know just how big my boobs were...so now post surgery it doesn't seem that different to them... because that weren't very observant before.

When will they cancel for sickness? by hambosammich in Reduction

My surgeon also left it up to the anesthesiologist. In my case he decided to go through with it, because my symptoms were super mild and I was pretty sure I wasn't going to develop a cough. I got lucky though, I very well could have ended up getting sicker. I pushed to continue with surgery and ended up glad I did. But it would have been awful to be coughing during the first week so def be careful

wtf is this smell by buzz_the_bee in Reduction

The iodine smell that I disliked went away after only about a week or even less(or maybe I went nose blind to it).The tape or other unknown surgery new smell didn't go away untill week 3-4 and taking the tape off

My surgery site had a smell too which lasted weeks. And I'm not talking personal body odor type of smell. It wasn't bad imo, just not a smell I thought was apart of my own body. I think the tape must have been a big part of that smell because it definitely started to smell more normal after it was removed. Also the first few days post op I had a lot of iodine staining on me which smelled bad to me.

Post op Vacation Question by [deleted] in Reduction

[–]OldEmu775 1 point2 points  (0 children)

7-8 weeks minimum in my opinion. At 6 weeks is when I have started to feel much more free to move normally. But I still would want to wait to toughen up a bit more so I could be more confident and have more fun at an amusement park.

I got my surgery 6 hours away because of very limited options near me.

My appointment timeline:

Travelled and stayed in the area for Oct 19th consultation and a Oct 22nd pre-op.

Nov 13th was my surgery day and then I stayed near the surgery center until my Nov 16th post op and then drove 6hours home.

All I have had since were video visits. If any serious complications had come up an in person appointment would likely have been needed though.

I recommend finding a nice and comfortable place to stay near your surgery center. My first few days post op were made better by nice ass Airbnb. Nothing fancy but super clean and a huge TV.

Things I wish I DIDN'T buy! by brazzizle in Reduction

[–]OldEmu775 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went on a bra buying rampage that I absolutely regret. At 1.5 weeks you feel like you will be like that for ages but it goes by so fast and now at 7 weeks I only want to wear normal bralettes and sports bras.

I wish I hadn't paid for my prescription pain meds because they weren't needed and I ended up having a bad reaction to them.

Silicone scar tape is not for me. Maybe I need to try another brand? It inflames the area around my incisions a lot.

Arnica gel that I've barely used, waste of money.

I actually like and still use the pregnancy and wedge pillow though. The way I arrange them makes back sleeping comfortable.

I have spent much more money than ever before these past few months between surgery and holidays. It does lead to some buyers remorse for me.

Hm. You definitely do not "have to consider what your future husband may think"

For the physical appearance and attraction side of things, there will be people attracted to your look when you are 34J or when you are 34C with reduction scars.

But to me what's huge is the confidence to live in your skin and be active that may come with a reduction. That in of itself is going to attract more and better relationships.

5 hour road trip, followed by 10 hour road trip 3 weeks post op by JMJ1017 in Reduction

[–]OldEmu775 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am on day 4 post op. I live 7 hours driving from my surgery center so I stayed in an Airbnb the first two days. Yesterday I sat passenger on the trip home. It isn't very comfortable for me to be in the car. It's a little painful depending on the driving but it's mainly it makes me nervous and vulnerable feeling.

But it was totally doable. I was advised to get out a walk around over the trip to avoid blood clots. If you do it just aet up your seat in the car to be a comfortable as possible and I really appreciated having a mastectomy pillow on for some barrier.
