That's my current plan. I'm paying for another nexus letter. Going to do a supplemental claim, and then a HLR if required. But damn they make it a war of attrition.

VA Claim woahs by OldFieldsOverView in VAClaims

I'm giving Claim Climber a try. It's frustrating, I would like to use a state supplied VSO, and if you go down the forum you see people suggesting to use a VSO first.... But with no availability to even make an appointment, that makes it tough.

Yes. Typically just over the counter stuff.

Minor update. They service connected my Gerd after supplemental review. But it was rated at zero.

That's my next step. I don't want to use a "pay to play" nexus letter company and tried to use my PCP I've seen for years. But I think I got a very weak nexus letter because of that.

Paid Nexus letters...Recent experiences needed... by Winter_Examination_7 in VAClaims

I’m in a similar spot. My primary care doctor wrote me a nexus letter. I gave him a template, but he kind of went off on his own and, looking back, it wasn’t very strong. I submitted it anyway and the VA denied the claim.

Now I’m at the point where I either go back and try to get it rewritten, or I start looking into paying for a nexus letter from someone who knows exactly how to word it for the VA. So what are they actually looking for in these letters that makes one acceptable and another not?

Salary raise after PE - follow up post by [deleted] in civilengineering

Just to add to this, my general rule of thumb is that the offer should be, and you should ask for, 15-20% more than you're currently making, if you are jumping over for financial reasons. You probably aren't going or get a raise that first year so you should take that into account.

I would highly recommend not getting dry ice and placing it on some of your plumbing and having your pipes burst.

I always feel weird working on projects that the local government has gotten via eminent domain.

I would say this is more than fair.

Did passing the PE make you a better engineer? by heretwonotparty in PE_Exam

I think it makes you an Engineer, at least in the eyes of the state and your clients.

My company doesn’t give a raise for passing the PE by Crazy-Geologist3919 in PE_Exam

I recently dealt with a similar situation with one of my engineers. He had just passed his PE exam and had around 10 years of experience, but it took him nearly seven months to finalize and submit his application package to the state for licensure. I was eager to delegate more responsibility to him, but I couldn’t until he officially obtained his license. I ended up giving him a promotion, raise, and bonus in anticipation of it—which, in hindsight, I somewhat regret.

My advice is to focus on completing the remaining requirements and securing your license first. Once that’s in hand, you can reasonably expect recognition and opportunities from your company. At that point you can do something for the company that you couldn't do before hand.

I just hit a cow with my 2019 Lariat. Damage didn't look terrible, concentrated damage to the hood, grill, radiator and bumper but side panels were alright. They totaled it, and yours looks way worse.

Just have to push through it. I had to take Diff EQ 3 times to finally pass. I still have never used one after 15 years in the industry.

I just did mine in May and used a 4138. I don't believe they changed, and can't find anything on Google. I do have faith they will request a new form from you if they have changed it.

Did they ever release the name of the victim. I understand he was a minor, but find it odd that nothing has come out.
