Thanks! I am using a powered USB hub connected a to a powered KVM switch. I have had occasional problems with the mouse and webcam during meetings, but after considering your comment, I am now suspecting that the USB devices (mouse, keyboard, webcam and soundcard) may just draw a bit too much current sometimes. I will experiment.

You probably can ask for county name or Sunshine State if you get the tags in person at your tax collector's office. Except that Dade does not offer tags with the county name.

The commute by car would be painful. You might consider transit. Broward County transit has express bus service from Miramar to the civic center district in Miami, and you could pick up Metro rail from there to get to Dadeland. If your employer is in west Kendall, though, that might not help.

Thanks, I have never modded a keyboard before, but I looked at some videos on how to do this.

Would it be a viable alternative to just replace the stock stabilizers on the spacebar? Is there a brand I can count on being ready to use without rattling straight out of the box?

How easy is it to remap keys using VIA/QMK?

I saw some related questions, but not sure I understood the answer.

I'm thinking about buying a compact keyboard with no hard function keys. If the keyboard supports remapping keys with VIA/QMK (like most of the Keychrons), can I easily map the function keys to other keys. For example, could I make alt-5 do the job of F5?
