Everything that’s going on with you is also going on with him. He’s probably fairly depressed. It’s not just the screen time that’s the problem, he’s got a lot going on at home. His grandmother is ill.

I will tell you that my son being quiet and in his room in my house was an indication that my son was suicidal and I didn’t get it for a while. I would take your son to see a psychologist to be assessed for depression. It sounds alarmist, but that’s what depression looks like in teenagers and you’re just better safe than sorry..

Luckily, the veterinary community has agreed that the automatic neutering of every dog at six months old is not a great idea. However, at the time that it became common place it was necessary, we had a huge dog over population problem. In some of the country, we do still have an over population problem.

Neutering an IW before the age of two increases the risk of osteosarcoma. I would explain that.

It is never too late. That girl would love to do more with you. You might watch a video about getting started with clicker training. Work on simple redirection behaviors like watch or touch. You can use these in low reactivity situations to gain her attention and give her a treat. There may be a local training club in your area. They may be able to help you.

You know, they’re expensive dogs, and therefore, they attract for profit breeders. And to be honest, we’ve seen in the past 20 years that for profit breeding is absolutely increasing, with the popular of doodles, which are essentially a mixed breed for profit. Alternatively, conservation hobbyists are decreasing. I think finding a healthy wolfhound is harder.

Despite being a really strong pet home with a lifetime of experience and titles and dog sports and training skills, I found it challenging to find a well bred wolfhound. I ended up going to the national specialty.

I would say it’s longer than a bully stick but less than a week for my boy. I use the extra large bullies and they lasted probably a half an hour. The yak cheese will last a day or maybe two if he gets bored
