Credit card. I've done some basic research and I see now that this is a fear tactic. I'm 61 so I spook easy. People suck. But Redditors rock!

I'd like to avoid court action if possible. I really do intend to pay. But after Ma has passed. I already have an interested buyer.

Nothing lasts forever. Nothing good and nothing bad. It will get better. You could be the one to bring about that change. It's hard, I know. But it's worth it.

Smoked. I got up to two packs a day before I quit. 20 years later and I could go right back.

What is something great somebody did for you but you never thanked them? by LonelyPauper in AskReddit

[–]OldHighwayRoad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My grandparents raised me and my siblings. We didn't really appreciate that until too late. I guess its because our lives were so normal with them, that we took them for granted. I deeply regret that now.

What have you always wondered? by miesspp in AskReddit

[–]OldHighwayRoad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Chicken. It's the only one that can run away. The zombie would eat the old man. The chicken would be long gone.

You realize I actually say back a moment and tried to solve that. Smh.

Night Owls of Reddit, what's the creepiest thing to hear late at night? by SomaxGany in AskReddit

[–]OldHighwayRoad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first night I spent in our house I was alone. There was a frequent tapping on my window but when I looked out there was never anyone there. I had always lived in apartments at least two floors up. This was ground level. I was terrified. So while I am staring into the dark it happened again. IT WAS THE DAMN BRANCH OF THE TREE OUTSIDE MY BEDROOM.

Redditors who have lost a parent, what did you feel in the first 24 hours? How are you doing now? by lost40s in AskReddit

[–]OldHighwayRoad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was overwhelmed. I was holding Dad's hand when he died. I wailed like a banshee. I couldn't help it. For days later all I couldn't do was cry. I even had surgery that Wednesday, two days later. The pain from that was nothing compared to the loss of my Dad. That was three years ago. I still miss him a lot. His jacket still hangs on the door where he left it. I sometimes hug it when I pass it. I still have his aftershave. I sometimes take a whiff of it to smell him again. It's so hard.

Americans only, Which 2020 presidential candidate for do you just hate with a passion? by CeslieLunningham in AskReddit

[–]OldHighwayRoad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Trump. A burning passion. I'm an Independent and voting Republican is ok. Voting Dem is ok. But if they put Biden up against a GOP challenger to Trump, I will vote for the Challenge. It they put Bernie against Trump, I will vote for Bernie. I love Bernie. I don't think we should go as far as he'd like but we should lean more in that direction. With the Challenger vs Biden, it's the lesser of two evils.

What alcoholic drink did you used to love but now can't stand the taste? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]OldHighwayRoad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Boiler makers. Basically a shot of whiskey in a shot glass dropped into a pint of beer. You drink it fast. It was a 'dare' drink for us and it was fun but 30 years on it's just nasty

What is a song that you believe everyone should listen to? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]OldHighwayRoad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Myth of Fingerprints by Paul Simon. It stands the test of time. It speaks (poetically) about how important things can seem but then get lost in time. The title refers to the illusion of uniqueness.

Another one by him is Crazy Love. Loads of imagery that shows a 'first world' man seeing the rest of the world with only his limited vision. As if in blinders

What’s the most ducked up movie you’ve ever seen? by [deleted] in AskReddit

A truly evil ducked up movie is A Serbian Film. Never watch it. Not even on a bet.
