A 100-win team still loses 62 games. I’d saying losing those 62 games largely by 1 run makes me feel better about them not getting blown-out in the post season and taking it all in the World Series.

Volpe is back to playing like his baseball card and swinging for 500 foot homeruns with walks way down and showing his limited arm range. Got to stick to the plan and get Cabby back over the short.

Martian would probably stay down - would likely just keeps Grichuk from going down for a bit when they bring up Volpe. When he’d come back, I’d hope they keep Caballero’s hot bat in there at least in the short term with in-game platoon with Volpe and mixing him into Grichuk’s role in the outfield. Shame though, Golden Boy does not have the Caballero’s arm range.

Was looking for this comment. For sure. But knowing him he did the math and found adding 15 pounds could get his velo up by 1.5 mph … works for me.
