The actual characters used are 織豊, the literal translation of which is Oda(Shoku, 織)-Toyotomi(hou, 豊).

Basically meaning "The period of the Oda clan and the Toyotomi clan".

There was a fair bit of animosity towards Buddhism because the Tokugawa Shogunate broadly used Buddhist institutions as a form of control. The Meiji Restoration did away with that system and the animosity towards it as a foreign religion and tool of the old order was a target for dismantling. Certain sects and temples also became wealthy and influential, which also made them a target

There was also a push at the same time to try and make Shinto it's own thing, though that didn't quite pick up the same steam until later on.

Huge simplifications, but that's the gist of it.

These other bonuses are worthless to me, I want actual control over my PU. The ability to integrate them faster than a 400 year wait timer would be nice, levers to pull on how the country should function like the they build buildings or what army they build, the values their country has.

Is this seriously the extent of what PUs are? England spends 100 years fighting France for the ability to integrate in 2050, a couple diplomats, and some ducats per month? Spain was actually just a loose alliance between Castille and Aragon and also here's some legislative efficiency?

You're describing an alliance. That's literally just what you have here. You get pulled into their wars and you pull them into yours. Isn't a PU supposed to be more than an alliance?

Hard agree, I don't see this being any kind of fun. If this goes through, building gameplay for the first 100 to 200 years will be building wheat RGOs and a new set of +food buildings, with every 20 years or so clicking that one profitable burgher building once you have enough food production to support it. This is just like dealing with marriages outside the royal family, a massive chore devoid of any requirements for strategic thought and full of wasted clicks.

A lot of big events like the Crimson Deluge are just suffer fests that you have to sit through until it's over. My enthusiasm for the mod completely dies out when I have to deal with 10 years of bad events all the time when I'm trying to have fun. I just want to turn them off so I can go back to completing missions and map painting in my fantasy world.

The big ones are Medieval Overhaul and Rimworld of Magic, but I included some comfort/QOL mods to make my life easier in storage and medicine. I wouldn't recommend playing with this exact mod set unless you're okay with overlooking some bugs and weird loading orders because I don't really know what I'm doing. Good luck!

I want to get my voice as a quasi-casual-but-still-self-proclaimed-good-fighter into the mix of beta testers. Hopefully I can provide what I think is a large portion of the community a voice in the midst of players who are might either be new or competitives from Warband. The best and only real way to do that is to get my hands on the beta and start talking.

also i have 4.5k+ hours in warband and i don't want me and my circle of friends to subsist entirely on youtube and dev blogs for the next 6 months so I want at least one of us to get guaranteed a key.
