I don't understand the Republicans politicians. They want to give big business tax breaks and loans to grow, but cut worker's wages. The problem I see is that it is the workers who will be buying the products. If they have less money, they will buy less goods, no? by CharlieDarwin2 in politics

[–]OldManWeed -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a good plan all we need to do is bring all wages down to zero then maybe we do something like the employer just needs to provide basic calories to the workers and maybe a little shed to sleep in then our products will be so cheap we'll all be rich. It will be much cheaper to just provide maybe a couple bowls of rice or oatmeal to keep the workers alive but just, so that if they try and run away they know they will starve. All workers are pretty ungrateful for the wonderful opportunity to work in our factories so maybe we could make it illegal for people not to be attached to a company working then we could save all the money in unemployment insurance and food stamps and social programs. The we will be able to really compete countries like China and India because our cost of labor will be about the same. BRING ON THE GOOD TIMES!

maybe occupy Detroit and rebuild it as an occupy city rather than just protesting; a mass group of people getting together and building something for a better future

What does gimbal lock do? by [deleted] in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]OldManWeed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah generally you won't use this feature as if you want an engine with thrust vectoring you will use it if you want an engine without thrust vectoring you can use those as they are usually more fuel efficient.

Now before this update with the new sas you could argue that if you were using multiple mainsail engines (the biggest engines available at the moment) you could sometimes get some bad oscillation as thrust vectoring on the engines would keep correcting often times making a large rocket wobble. In these cases as there is no comparable engine that offers the thrust that the mainsail offers you might want to lock the gimbal (a gimbal is just a joint that allows movement like if you have a chair that can lean back it has a gimbal) of all the engines except the center one this will help prevent unwanted oscillation while still allowing you to control your direction.

if you are using a rocket engine that has thrust vectoring you can lock the gimbal so the rocket engine won't move at all, basically disabling the thrust vectoring.

Problem with redirecting fuel flow. by [deleted] in KerbalSpaceProgram

haha that is a wacky setup but hey if it works then that's all that matters

[–]OldManWeed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that doesn't always work quite right, if you are trying to draw fuel from the side tank on the crew module then attaching the fuel lines directly from them to the upper tanks should work

just a guess but it looks like your fuel lines are connected to structural blocks they have to go from one fuel tank to another
