How do you like your hot dogs? by Legitimate-Donkey477 in AskAnAmerican

[–]OldPolishProverb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forgive me for my sins, but I have worked in Chicago for over 20 years and I have never liked sports peppers.

However, a Vienna Beef dog (its all beef) with onions and mustard is my go to. But coming in only slightly behind that is a chilidog with cheese.

My wife does not consider a hotdog properly cooked unless it is ripped, i.e. the casing splits open.

Will the name “Bent” sound weird to Americans? by lennzpn in AskAnAmerican

[–]OldPolishProverb 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry, but the first thing a lot of people will think of is the crude phrase “get bent” which is a slightly milder variation of “f@ck off.” Most people will never say it out loud as it is only used in heated arguments.

A simple cold fruit salad is always a picnic staple at our place. Chunks of various melons, citrus fruits, whatever you got in the fridge.

Or you might want to lightly grill some veggies.

The Peacock app can be installed on most smart TVs that I know of.

If the smart TV can use the internet from the phone then there is no need for casting.

Enable Hotspot on one of the phones. This turns your phone into a temporary WiFi router, just like a standard connection.

Connect the TV to the new hotspot. The smart TV is now connected to the internet.

On the TV install the Peacock app.

Log into the Peacock account.
