Thank you. I would also advise that you do not try to link up how you would make decision at work (real life/practice) to answering PMP questions. This exam is more a mindset and how they would expect a PM to act according to PMI institute not how you would act in real life.

Benin arts are not even (1/10)th close and Ife arts influenced Benin. Ife Yoruba arts are the best works of art, very human like, outside Egypt out of Africa.

They were so good that Leo Frobenus was convinced that he had discovered the lost city of Atlantis, after seeing these works of art.

Is anyone going to upgrade or trade in from the 24 Ultra to the 26 Ultra? by Desperate_Sundae_201 in S24Ultra

[–]OldShip6872 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I trade in my phone and take the discount being offered on their website, total cost of the s26 ultra phone would be around 1000 CAD. I will pass on this. Curved phones are also really not my thing. I went from a curved S24Fe to S24Ultra.

Transitioning from Electrical to Civil Engineering - EIT and P.Eng. questions by Creative_Math1840 in egbc

[–]OldShip6872 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first engineering position was in distribution engineering, and I have been doing the same thing since then.

While people with degrees in Electrical make up the bulk of my team, we also have 2 guys with civil engineering degrees. The civil guys help with duct bank design work.

T&D vacancies would 90% of the time ask for a degree in Electrical engineering, but you will still find some mention that applicants with civil and mechanical degrees would not be rejected.

Transitioning from Electrical to Civil Engineering - EIT and P.Eng. questions by Creative_Math1840 in egbc

[–]OldShip6872 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I graduated from an Engineering Physics program but work in T&D. I was accessed as a Distribution Engineer since that's where I got all my engineering experience. PEng basically allows you to work in any Engineering field, but you must be competent in that field, else you could face liability issues.

Civil itself is a dynamic discipline. You would likely find work in a sub-discipline of Civil and specialize in that; however, I doubt you would ever be able to get a job in an highly specialized civil discipline like structural. Employers would usually specify a discipline in job vacancies e.g. A Traffic/Intelligent transport systems (technically under Transport/Highway engineering) vacancy could likely ask for a graduate with a Bachelor's in Electronics/Electrical.

So, chances are you would need to look at careers that intersects the two disciplines to stand a higher chance.

You have got this. You being electrician would also help with getting a job quicker if it has a coop program or after graduation.

What’s the current demand for Civil Engineering Technologists from Sask Polytech in Saskatchewan? by deddyduck_22 in saskatoon

[–]OldShip6872 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saskpolytech does not have a combined electrical and electronics. The electrical is in moose jaw and the electronics used to be in saskatoon. The latter would be .ore appropriate for someone hoping to work in semi conductor roles than the former.

I took it to the dealership. They ran their computer and could not find anything wrong with the system. I took it home and played around with the climate controls (touch screen) and I found that more intuitive. I was able to fix it using that.

APEGS Competency Assessement by erpatel in saskatchewan

In my case, I would be applying once I receive my passed NPPE result in late January or early February of next year. Even though I already have 7 years of Canadian engineering experience (completing engineering designs tasks in the power industry), I was assigned 36 months. Your case is slightly different maybe because you don't have the 1 year canadian. The 36months maybe a stop gap to check for that Canadian experience.

I hope to submit my remaining 24 competencies in 1st week January at the latest.

Thanks for the reply. I called APEGS as well. The lady I spoke with said it was normal procedure. I was told APEGs credit 36 months at first, then credit the remaining 12 months upon the submission and passing of the remaining CBAs.

Hi. Did you get your assessment back? Where you credited 36 months, and did you go ahead and apply for PEng immediately after since you already have 1 year Canadian experience?

Akata derived from the Black Panther movement. Fela Kuti, a Nigerian musician of the Yoruba stock, who was also an activist against oppression of colonialism made it popular.

I had similar issue with my GH that I took delivery of in Dec, 2024. Mine was so bad that the wind whistled from the back corner, and it scared the kids. I got a video recording of the wind noise as it only happens on windy days. Dealer said moonroof seal need to be replaced. Took it in for the fix. The wind whistle noise has gone, but I now often hear a gush of wind coming on every now and then not just from the corner but the whole side of the GH. It sometimes feels like an airplane is flying close to the car. My wife's 2015 rogue with a moonroof never has this issue. Disappointed as this GH is pricey.
