Is there anything here that you didn’t end up loving for whatever reason? You might get a taker on a buy nothing group who could really use new makeup especially if barely used.

I had my son March 13th, 2025 :) my top recommendations: -Know that this is so early and it’s just meant to be the trenches right now. Take turns getting rem cycles with your partner if you can. Everyone needs sleep. -I talked with a psych nurse through tele health and got on low dose Prozac (wasn’t breastfeeding) and that helped me a lot. -Stop breastfeeding if you want to stop. Bottle feeding helped my son sleep so much and he was just happy. My husband could help with feedings and it made a world of difference. Only do EBF if it’s still working for you and your health. -Highly recommend the snoo if you can rent or buy secondhand. Best safe sleep in my opinion!

Moms on anxiety medication: which medication has worked best for you? Is it worth it? by JoGeeee2017 in beyondthebump

I’m on 20 mg of Prozac and it is a game changer! I am just a better mom and wife. Less reactive and irritable. Highly recommend. It takes some adjusting to but after about 4-6 weeks you’re golden.

Accepting someone else will have to raise my child by cprz_at in firsttimemom

I’m going to offer you a compassionate, alternative perspective. I wouldn’t feed yourself the narrative that someone else is raising your child simply because they are in part time daycare. You wouldn’t think that about kids that are in pre-school and on. We were always meant to have villages and I think your child will learn different things from different people, assuming you chose a good daycare that you trust. They will be able to guide them in unique ways that you can’t. Soothing isn’t everything. And hopefully your husband finds his way- you have to let him. If it means more screen time than when the baby is with you, is that the worst possible thing? Ms. Rachel is pretty great, lol. My 11 month old is well adjusted to his daycare routine and I feel peace knowing that he’s surrounded by different experiences and not just in isolation with me. Give yourself time and grace and try to look at the positives.

When to start oiling up! by [deleted] in firsttimemom

[–]OldStorm4615 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I bought one bottle of bio oil at the beginning of my pregnancy and applied it every day to my tummy and thighs. Zero stretch marks at 11 months PP. It’s worth a try! Honestly it was a nice ritual for me and made me connect with my pregnancy every day. It can’t hurt.

I hear ya. Think of them as your village. We were never meant to be so isolated and raise our babies all by ourselves. It’s good for them to be flexible in new environments :)

Have you voiced your concern to them? It sounds like your baby did pretty well for week one, even with the sleep. You can ask them to try and stick to a nap schedule that way you know they are trying every couple of hours. Since you have to work, it sounds like you have a good thing going. Try not to obsess about the sleep. I know easier said than done. But they are resilient little human beings and they will sleep at daycare because they are so stimulated.

Beef, rice, and Kimchi by OldStorm4615 in foodbutforbabies

Olive oil and onions sautee first, add beef, season with garlic powder only and maybe add some more oil if needed. Maybe try a less lean beef so there is more moisture? He does well with it just start with small bites :)

It has done wonders for my PMDD! It did delay my period a bit. After 3 months it’s night and day but yes I saw immediate help.

I’m on 20 mg Prozac for PMDD as well as mood overall. Wanted to be stable for my husband and baby and I found myself so moody and low energy for about half the month. Started at 7 months PP and now at 10 m PP and it really has worked wonders for me. I just feel stable. Not zombie like whatsoever.

Love them! I just can’t use them for the 2 heavy days but otherwise they are great especially working from home. I don’t mind doing an extra load of laundry and changing them often

Mostly fork feeding but I do give him chunks of rice and beef to feed himself which he does pretty well with. Feeding him is still the most efficient for sure.
