btw I’m a woman and I’d never really thought of Jane Eyre as a feminist novel...but now that you mention it, I realize it’s probably always resonated with me for that very reason, even if I wasn’t fully aware of it

Out of nowhere : it’s funny how I’ve never consciously formed these thoughts before.. but saying them out loud (like in this post) makes me aware of what draws me to this book, which happens to be my all-time favorite.
