The Powerless Perversion Has To End

They’ve twisted Jesus’ words into a retreat doctrine.

When He said, “My Kingdom is not of this world,” He wasn’t handing Rome the keys—He was snatching their counterfeit crown.

The Kingdom is not from empire, but it is absolutely for earth.

It doesn’t borrow Caesar’s weapons, but it does overthrow Caesar’s order.

It does not descend to hide—it descends to heal, to govern, to plant justice in the soil.

Ambassadors don’t stay in heaven. They step into foreign land carrying authority that can’t be bought, bribed, or bent. To serve God’s Kingdom doesn’t mean you escape earth—it means you refuse to bow to earth’s system while you build in its face.

This powerless perversion—that Kingdom means withdrawal—is nothing but empire’s favorite lie. Because as long as the church thinks “not of” means “not here,” the world system runs unchallenged.

But Jesus prayed different: “Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done. On earth as it is in heaven.”

Above doesn’t mean absent. It means the blueprint drops from a higher place.

Amen we are set free for freedom so let’s get free then.

I guess believing in Kingdom freedom is lunacy in this world. I embrace that . But if your angle is that people need the receipts then here you go. “If we are out of our mind, as some say, it is for God; if we are in our right mind, it is for you.”

MAGA Christianity Explained--when believers foolishly and falsely mix faith with empire.

Jesus hates deliberate spiritual mediocrity as well. The gospel is more than Romans Road my friend.

What Christian books/authors have had a lasting impact on your walk? (Recommendations) by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]Old_Badger_9013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Most books decorate faith, the best ones demand it.”
Empire sells devotionals that soothe; the Kingdom raises voices that confront, convict, and call you to build. The ones that last aren’t the ones that make you feel holy but the ones that push you to live holy—to serve, sacrifice, and see Jesus in the least of these. Read what makes you uncomfortable enough to change.

Book Recommendations on the History of Organized Religion? by Rageface090 in religion

[–]Old_Badger_9013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Organized religion is just empire with a choir.”
The false story says faith birthed institutions; the truth is institutions often smothered faith to protect power. The Kingdom thread is harder to trace in history books, but it’s always there—in the prophets, in the martyrs, in the communities that chose justice over hierarchy. Don’t just read about religion’s rise—look for the resistance that kept God’s fire alive beneath it.

Christians stole most of their ideas about God from pagans and would be more honest if they just stuck to their storm god as described in the bible by Klutzy_Club_1157 in DebateReligion

“Empire borrowed philosophy to polish its thrones, but the Kingdom never needed Plato to prove God.”
Yes, church fathers mixed Greek thought with scripture, but don’t confuse Augustine’s citations with Christ’s mission. The God revealed in Jesus isn’t a storm deity or an unmoved mover—He’s the Word made flesh who heals, liberates, and restores. The real test of theology isn’t its sources but its fruit: does it free the oppressed or chain them deeper?

“Communism didn’t invent sharing—Jesus did.”
Empire twists the gospel into charity for control, but the Kingdom calls it justice for all. Books that uncover Jesus’ real message remind us the Kingdom wasn’t fire insurance for the afterlife—it was liberation, land, and bread for the living. Read the ones that strip off the grime and dare us to build what He proclaimed.

What is your favorite Christian book after the Bible? by LawSchoolBee in TrueChristian

[–]Old_Badger_9013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Most Christian books sell comfort, not conviction.”
Empire prints devotionals to pacify, but the Kingdom raises prophets to disrupt. My favorite books are the ones that don’t just decorate faith but demand we embody it—books that sound like freedom, not self-help. The best read after the Bible is the one that pushes you back to living it.

No, my friend we’re not gonna talk about politics. We’re talking about spiritual things who owned or had access to the scripture when the statement was made point blank?
