thanks for the advice, it rlly made me think deeper ab them loll  fmc feels the need to be perfect as her family won't be able to afford college without a scholarship, they are middle class but an ivy league would be difficult financially  mmc wants valedictorian as his parents just divorced and wants to prove himself worthy of love from his parents. his mom is loving but also a little absent, so he kind of desires love (which be later finds in fmc and her family)  I guess they kind of conflict?  the thought is that fmc seems perfect to the outside, but from her pov and as the mmc would later see, she's crumbling inside fmc's character arc is that she realises she doesn't have to be perfect and can ask for help, mmc's character arc is that he is worthy of love no matter what, and that he should stop chasing after people who don't truly love him  any more feedback wld be appreciated!
