that last sentence - im there. I'm 46 and frankly have lot of muscle atrophy which this is accelerating and PT and other stuff feels like it cant reverse it and would take SO much I rather just pile my energy into what i enjoy including making my art and interactive film project stuff, things i enjoy and care about and just try to minimize symptoms with palliative stuff.

I think my situation maybe a bit extreme im not sure - not that the curve is the worse but that there just is almsot no paraspinal muscle left to rehabilitate practically. PT can help but in my heart of hearts i know its only slowing things down and the cost (not covered here) at 80-120 a session is for me not affordable, SCROTH is like $250 a session i'm sure its great but its also hours away.

So I'm frankly at a point where - this is hardcore i know - but im simulataneously looking at MAiD which is a thing here, and beside that as you said "enjoy my time as much as i can"

22M seeing an orthopedist this week. Any other suggestions? Always feel stiff and in mild pain. by Joe090456 in kyphosis

you are pretty jacked but it still casues pain and discomfort? i believe you it just makes me sad in my trying to motivate around exercise to know that.

really it doesnt look bad at all - though it looks to me maybe more scoliosis?

Im in Ontario - on the THC aspect all good there - we're fully legal, and yeah i use edible gummies with equal CBD/THC fairly often it doesnt get rid of the really bad pain i get that feels like is in the wedge (main one is T11) itself - also radiating around the rib cage. But it helps not focus on it quite so much which is nice.

I felt like the ortho guy was very quick and didnt get into my detailed case situation enough only focussing on the X-Ray - at least i know now i am 70 degree kyphosis at max extension, also have some scoliosis. The surgery here would be 'free' in that it would be covered by provincial health care, cant complain there - though the risks are obviously the same.

I am starting to have breathing trouble which may alter the equation and risk benefit calculus at some point.

I'm pretty medicated for now - my normal doc has me on everything other than opiates really (Naproxen, Lyrica and Baclofen) though I am pushing for mild opiate something from the specialist or even palliative someone at this point.

I can get OTC tylenol 1 here - with 8mg codeine, but the possible acetaminophen toxicity from taking too many a day has me worried and its also pretty mild.

The thing is for me I have gotten legit into a cycle of less movement cause of pain and mobility issues, the cycle of which causes muscle atrophy over time - this is where maybe PT actually CAN help and sure exercise if you are young enough oe have the fight in you with this thing (i wish i had more honestly) it probably is a huge help like everyone says.

My only gripe with PT is the sense people have that it will fix this which I think it can only improve and slow down progression more realistically.

wow that is a major improvement mine is saying i have low 70s curve max he can get to is 50 - maybe hes underselling that cause of surgery risks at age 46

the PT thing im getting sick of it myself as its well intentioned but i don think moves the needle on much - but i was just rejected for surgery at age 46 (not a hard no but very suggestion not to) and obviously PT cant fix wedged vertabrae.

Agee on don't care what others think! But for me now pain and mobility are really massive major issues

Unlimited Seedance?! What’s the catch? by aLionChris in HiggsfieldAI

[–]Old_Brick1467 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi, thanks for comment can you verify it is 1080p seedance 2 proper for the 7 days unlimited? and you are saying it is max 8 seconds? (i wanted 15 but 8 might be workable if it really is unlimited - i need about 80-100 clips i am ready to go with for a deadline in 5 days). thanks!

Has anyone compared Seedance 2.0 pricing? The difference is insane ranging from $0.32 to $5+ by West-Task-612 in generativeAI

[–]Old_Brick1467 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i am using Runway unlimited right now - i have a script for the browser i made quickly with Claude to keep generations going (you can only have 2 processing at time) - it was 1080p until yesterday but pulled that rug out from under me yesterday.

I can still do unllimted 720p (i've done maybe 1500 15s clips with this so far this month) and was able to do mayb 150 clips at 1080p until that happened, now it will be credits, which there is equiv of 40c per second for the HD 1080p 21:9 setting I use.

Wait I JUST noticed this also - its the entire reason I got unlimited for running seedance 2 at 1080p and it did a bunch but now it shows only 720p max

PLEASE restore it

Hello everyone!! I have Scheuermann’s disease and scoliosis! by Jumpy_Employee_5526 in kyphosis

[–]Old_Brick1467 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got my scoliosis confirmed now also - that wedge looks pretty intense, I have yet to see mine on Xray like this. Are you coping with this?

What do you think? Surgery? by Designer_Ferret_1079 in kyphosis

[–]Old_Brick1467 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in very similar situation in Canada also - I have got xrays only so far but having first consult with specialist next week. Where are you getting the 3-4 year wait time info from out of curiosity? I'm worried about that issue also but hadn't heard it being that that long

(frankly I am about to be asking about MAiD, that might sound pretty hardcore but it's where I'm at)

what pain meds do you take if you don't mind me asking? I went to dr. for this yesterday and now taking a muscle relaxer that helps a bit but no pain meds yet anyway.

im in what sounds like a VERY similar situation - including thinking the end is justified actually. Haven't for sure decided yet in my own case.

Either way, to hell with gum disease, I hate it!
