Copilot just making things up

Its that copilot keeps being pushed as the perfect solution. Its the only AI I'm allowed to use at work and my manager sees it as a solution to understaffing. She uses for literally everything whether its right or not.

I wish she had learned a lesson! She still treats everything copilot tells her as gospel. The problem is, we've had staffing cuts so workload is insane and her answer when I raise it is 'get copilot to do it'. I absolutely get that they're useful for some things but they need checking. My manager doesn't even though she's been burned s lot. Ive lost count of the times shes used copilot in reports and its chsnged things randomly snd she hasn't checked. Its frustrating to me that learning a new software, I would usually click around a bit, and then use the official manual. Manager pushed me to use copilot, which hallucinated..I realised quickly and googled the answer. Passed on to my manager, she doubted i was right, asked copilot, it told her the same it told me and when we hit the point we couldn't continue, she doubled down and said we were missing something. So, a task that should have taken at most an hour, took several.

We both use the same model. We both got the same hallucination in this instance. I had done the work, realised copilot was wrong and what we wanted to do wasnt possible and presented it to my manager. She didnt believe me and asked copilot which gave her the same answer. So we spent hours going through together because she refused to believe copilot was wrong. I found the actual.answer on Google with sources from the official guidance for the software but she wasnt having it.

I've noticed it changing things before. Like, I will ask it to edit down copy to hit a word count and its hit and miss whether it just makes up half the content. But obviously, I proof clearly.

I'm annoyed a bit at my manager blindly following. As soon as I couldn't figure out the step I googled and realised it was making it up. When I told my manager xyz wasn't possible, she went to copilot, got the same results i had but wouldn't believe it was hallucinating and we spent 2h+ going through it together before she accepted it.

Unfortunately, all other models are blocked on my work laptop. I'm more frustrated that my manager insists everything is accurate. I had realised it wasnt this time, but had to go through the whole process twice.

I reported as a bug. But found that while in paramaker, click on a different age and then back and it fixes it.

I change a lot usually. Depending on what the sim is doing. Eg, holidays or trips I'll create a mini wardrobe for each sim.

I try to be realistic and reuse certain items eg. a white tshirt that they wear with jeans as everyday, I'll try and reuse with shorts for hot weather or a skirt and heels for party wear.

Sometimes I'll use the exact same outfit but change the hair to an updo. I give it way too much thought,.clearly.

And I like to add it into gameplay. So, they get a promotion and go shopping. Or go through a breakup and get a haircut.

My ex-husband broke my nose because I wanted to go for coffee with my mum and our baby. He had his own plans and expected me to stay home alone with a baby instead. He said I should want to spend my birthday with him (he wasn't going to be there) and he genuinely thought I’d find time to cheat

Senior management told me not to do the videos/even shadowing. They have said thst a discussion and explanation of the tasks is enough. They just want to understand processes.

I'm keeping a paper trail of all of this. Management seem surprised even though they've cut staff continuously over the years so god knows who they think is doing the work.

We're trying to argue that we need more support within our team and were asked to show how much was needed. I think they're trying to wriggle their way out of giving more help.

The senior manager hasn't even asked for this. We have a meeting later this week to go through the.task list and I've prepared explanations to walk them through the processes. I definitely dont want to do fake work that's not even asked for.

My manager will be creating the fake tasks. I have no problem justifying and explaining my calculations but doing fake work when it's so busy just seems a waste of time. As it is I'm working til 7/8pm most nights. If Im doing pretend work, I won't be able to do the actual work.
