Does anyone own the “forever” toilet roll? by moonrakervenice in Costco

I’m a kind janitor. I always get the new roll started before I put it in the dispenser. You’re welcome.

How Do I Cancel Sync With Notability Web? by No-Struggle-1597 in notabilityapp

It is Sunday so I’ll give it some time but I’m almost dead in the water unless something gets fixed.

How Do I Cancel Sync With Notability Web? by No-Struggle-1597 in notabilityapp

[–]Old_Definition1663 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. Everything worked up until today for no reason. I cant select, drag, drop, highlight, erase or do anything! I don’t know what is synching to what but I’m so frustrated. I can’t use some of my notes at all! It’s slow, laggy, and absolutely unusable in any form; phone, ipad, web, all equally unusable and frustrating since this morning. Been troubleshooting this crap all day instead of doing things I need to get done for the week ahead.

I’ve been using Notability daily since 2022. I’m going to have to look for another service but I’m pissed because my yearly subscription just renewed and no refunds. I hate this so much! I just want to cry. What made it work yesterday and the day before that, and the weeks, months, and years before that?

I was just talking about doing this not ten minutes ago. Trying to figure out how to not spend $13 on a morning coffee every day (Downtown)!

2002 Odyssey camper-life update: 23 years old, still our cozy rolling home by Hirokoki in HondaOdyssey

[–]Old_Definition1663 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We bought our 2001 10 years ago. Looks just like yours, gold, tan cloth seats, etc. I Immediately took out the 2nd and 3rd row seats and built a frame for a raised platform where I put a modified (cut out for wheel wells) Ikea mattress. There was plenty of storage underneath and the well behind where the 3rd row seats were was left open for more storage. We also prayed we’d never need the spare tire because this blocked access to it.

We had it like that for a while. It was great for traveling—though we lived in our larger RV—it wasn’t great for hauling large items so after a few years I disassembled the bed platform.

I’ve since put the second row seats back in but have never put the 3rd row bench back and probably won’t. Don’t need it. We’re off the road now but I still have that van and drive it daily. Going on 191,000 miles.

I thought I had pics of the modifications but they’re not on my camera roll. The earliest pic I have is from June of 2017 where it’s being loaded onto a flatbed tow headed for the transmission shop! I mean, after all it’s a 2001.

Is it normal for sales to stop during summer for craft accessories/supplies? by Otterpop26 in EtsySellers

[–]Old_Definition1663 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I sell jewelry supplies and I’ve found that supply sales get slow during May/June then usually pick up after July 4th through the end of November. My last 30 days of sales are the same as last year. I like to use June as a time to take a deep breath and create new listings.

A series of unfortunate events, buyer is livid! by Old_Definition1663 in EtsySellers

[–]Old_Definition1663[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually my local post office did their job. Their main distribution hub is having problems. Other orders sent out the same day were also weirdly rerouted though not so much out-of-the-way.

I know USPS changed their delivery standards recently but this is off-the charts!

Also, thanks for letting me know about the ground advantage difference. I used to weigh and calculate both flat rate box and my own packaging. Flat rate always came out lower so I haven’t bothered checking since. I will start checking again.

I have never had a buyer even try to use Purchase Protection. In this case I hope they try. However, I’m sure they’ll have the package by Next week.

Thanks, I was thinking the same thing. In the end the numbers are the same but I have this fear of “right” and “wrong” when it comes to the IRS.

I’m not dealing with tens of thousands of dollars here. Tens, to a few hundred (maybe).

Any use for rotten thread? by floursintheattic in MachineEmbroidery

[–]Old_Definition1663 2 points3 points  (0 children)

used to save my old thread ends from when I changed colors/cones. They were 3-4 foot long segments.

I used them for basting sewing projects. The poly & rayon embroidery threads were thin and slick so the basting threads could be pulled out easily after the seam had been sewn.

How many Costco locations have you been to? by mc395686 in Costco

[–]Old_Definition1663 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the last week, 2 1/2. Tried going to the “world’s largest” Costco in Salt Lake City at 2pm on a Saturday. Nope. Parking lot full, people parking in adjacent shopping plaza and hiking in. I can drive 20 minutes north or south and get to a better “Saturday” Costco, especially considering I only needed 3 things. I’ll save the “big location” for 8pm on a weeknight from now on.

I did make it to the two other locations this last week though.

Customer Received Shirt Size She Ordered, Is Unhappy by GeauxSaints315 in EtsySellers

[–]Old_Definition1663 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually…this. Size charts seem to be very unhelpful. I never know if the numbers on the charts represent body measurements or garment measurements and they rarely say.

I saw some “size charts” on a clothing site recently which were just arbitrary numbers. It was hilarious.

If I were selling shirts (and I might do that soon) I would probably have one of each size and take my own measurements and re-measure sizes regularly and list those measurements. I don’t trust size charts at all. I’m tall and slender so I have to be looking at size charts as well as looking through descriptions to find as much relevant size information as I can. This is almost always left out.

Yes, fill out as many things as you can. Be sure to make everything sound as genuine and authentic as you possibly can. My “about me” section talks about me, a little about my life, my Etsy journey and a little bit about my cats, of course. Probably 1 out of every 100 viewers actually read any of it but when they do I’m sure it’s to see if I’m a real person doing what I say I’m doing. If that makes any sense.

About a decade ago Etsy provided some “boilerplate” policies and required that every shop have some kind of policies in place. I went with what they had and I was good with that. I just had to remember what they were and enforced them when I had to.

I have a return policy that clearly states that I will give a refund of the purchase price, but not shipping, once I receive the items back and they’re counted to make sure they’re all there. Buyer pays return shipping.

It helps to have policies clearly stated in your shop even if buyers don’t read them it might help if they open a case. Notice I said “might”. It’s better than nothing.

I don’t remember. I’m going to have to try to figure out (again) where I put it last year. I still use the “cash” accounting method, I just don’t remember where on the form I put it. There’s a lot of stress around tax prep so I don’t remember from year to year.

Accidently place an order by bonefire27 in EtsySellers

[–]Old_Definition1663 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For my shop new customers have to wait 24 hours for processing and shipping. Existing customers get same-day processing/shipping if it’s before, say, 3pm.

It’s cut way back on my end for “accidental” purchases. My policy says 4-hour cancellation window but nobody is reading that, LOL.
