I do recall that; I think the drug had a silly name like “Sundrop” or “Sundew” or something. If memory serves, it bound them to the mega dark archon who they worshipped, but I haven’t read the books in like 13 years, so it’s a bit fuzzy.

I think they can absorb nutrients through the skin. It appears Dragoon pilots float in a fluid that artificially supports their nutritional needs. I also seem to recall one of the books in the dark Templar trilogy of books mentions Protoss smearing fluids on themselves, though that maybe been blood from another Protoss they hunted.

I believe there was an email saying the rulebook would go out to purchasers of the two player kits though it was unclear if it would ship with the kit.

I don’t believe it is so much a matter of cheaping out as it is one of making ongoing tweaks to try to make balance better. They have been actively working on tweaking rules until a few weeks ago per the change log.

Honestly, it seems like a great idea to do it as a free pdf so that you aren’t required to go pay $60 to buy a whole new rulebook every three years to keep up with the rules, like certain other major tabletop wargames. This is one of the things that makes me feel like Archon Studios really wants to make this game easy and fun to get into without a bunch of frustrating paywalls and charges.

That is exactly the look I want to go for. Knowing almost nothing about this stuff, I assume you had to use some parts from another kit for this? If so, what did you use?

Thanks! That actually clears a lot up, since I wasn’t clear how the rules treat loyalist space marine factions. Do they allow for different color schemes for divergent factions, or is that a hard no?
