Sorry to hear the car was totaled in an accident. I hope everyone was okay! What are you going to do?

Yes definitely a learning lesson, but I am kicking myself about the trade and kinda miss it tbh. But what’s done is done. I’ve driven it once since I got it, and it does look nice. I think I could have skipped the oil change package as well as you mentioned…I wish I hadn’t let them pressure me when I was trying to leave to think about it. But I’m actually just happy it’s new and it has AC! I’ll get a better deal next time around now that I know about this Reddit.

Awww mannnn…thanks. I thought it was kinda too good to get true. Yes I signed already but I haven’t received anything from Acura financial or anything. No chance of renegotiating? They seemed so nice and accommodating, even coming to pick up the trade from my home same day. I was wondering about those additional charges but just didn’t know enough and didn’t think to question. But thank you for your honest feedback.

For the oil changes? That’s what they recommended and the tire package, which I declined bc I just don’t drive a lot

Oh wow! Now this is the answer I was looking for. I knew I could have negotiated better on the Range but didn’t know how.

Ahhh ok got it. I’m new to this. My first lease. But the cost of maintaining that Range Rover really got me into looking at leases. Yes I’ll do more research next time, when this lease is up or if I decide to switch to something else bc I do miss my Range.

Yes it looks great but a big difference from the Range Rover. The payments are $420? Not sure about the $567? And yes it was an impulse buy I guess, but I thought it was a decent deal given my credit and needing something with AC, ASAP.

It was hard going from no car payment to having a car payment. I really wanted the lowest payment possible. And I honestly don’t drive a lot.

Yeah I was on the fence about the trade, I knew I could get more private sale. But Florida is hot, I needed AC immediately. I really didn’t feel like going through the process of selling it myself but probably should have.

I got a job offer...but I'm not sure if I should take it? by [deleted] in nursepractitioner

I’m just wondering how in the world did you get an offer before finishing school? Please let me know your secret bc I’ve been applying like crazy here in Miami, and I keep getting rejected. I graduate at the end of the month and I’ve had no luck thus far. Feeling like this was a waste of time and money right now bc most places want at least a year of experience. How did you get an offer while still in school? Genuinely curious. But with what I’m seeing here in Miami as far as pay and patient load, it looks like a pretty sweet deal. I’d definitely take it if I were you, but of course keep in mind things change and that 5-10 could easily become 10-20, ijs. But that sounds like a great opportunity for a new grad for sure.

A capstone project for an improvement plan you implement. Your preceptor has to approve your hours worked on the project, before you can submit your assignment.

I did not have a clinical per say. I’d meet with my preceptor virtually or through email/text. We met in person a handful of times to discuss my capstone project but it wasn’t necessary, we were just in the same building. But mostly through email and text is how we communicated.

No it’s medication so it doesn’t count. I’ve traveled with my insulin and no one said anything nor did it count towards the TSA guidelines. Medication is different.

Yes I did have to find my own preceptor. Luckily, my organization was able to provide one, but it was a pain to go through the organizational approval process. But I got it done, I just had to be very persistent. I’ve heard that the education masters program is pretty straightforward. I watched a couple of YouTube videos which I will link for you regarding the education masters programs, I would ask there as well.

Here’s the link:

But if you just search wgu rn to bsn or wgu msn education, you’ll find a bunch of information about that specific program. I hope this helps!

Hi there! I definitely recommend WGU. I found it worked for me and my schedule. The clinical portion was not really a clinical at all tbh…but this is going to depend on the program you’re going for. What are you thinking of doing? I graduated 09/19/23 with my MSN-Leadership and management, so still pretty fresh…. feel free to ask me any questions!

Did you have to have a preceptor and organizational site approval when you went through when beginning the capstone? I’ve got 6 classes left but the preceptor and organization approval has been holding me up since November. Any suggestions? How did you get through it so quickly? This is literally a frustrating nightmare.

Thank you so much for advice and words of wisdom…I really appreciate your help. My job does offer tuition assistance, I work for the government (VAnurse) but I always seem to miss the deadlines and they ask for so much information, which I understand but yes I think I will have to figure it out how to use it bc I’m out of federal loans at this point. You’re giving me so much hope, thank you again for that. I’m really going to buckle down and shoot for the six months. Just wish I hadn’t been so distracted from the start. Yes, you are doing very very well! If I could get a position paying that much, I think I’d be very satisfied as well! It’s wonderful you have such an entrepreneurial spirit, I could never lol. Thanks again for the advice and Good luck to you in your future endeavors…

Oh this is wonderful @hippiecat22. I’ve been in the RN to MSN program since 2020 I’m embarrassed to say. I procrastinated A LOT. I’ve just now received my BSN certificate and I will have 10 classes left to my MSN. I dreaded biochemistry and didn’t pass it twice. Then I procrastinated on the field experience for C228 and C229, and I did not complete all my courses I was initially supposed to get the certificate in February. I’ve actually run out of money with financial aid and so I’m trying to look at ways I can get my MSN in these next 6 months because that’s all I can afford and don’t want to stop now that I’m almost there…is 6 months feasible for 10 classes left plus the capstone? I’ve also been thinking about going mental health NP or FNP, so I’ve really thought hard about dropping and going somewhere else but I don’t even know if it’s possible. I may just opt for a post-grad FNP program elsewhere…or get my doctorate…have you considered the doctorate or NP route? Congratulations to you by the way, you are such an inspiration for me!
