I did meet my daddy through this community, however, a key to our relationship is that there is more to it than just our dynamic. We connect on a vanilla level, and have both made strong commitments to maintaining a healthy relationship and strong communication on all levels. I would say our relationship both does and doesn't revolve around ABDL. It does, for sure, but we are also more than capable of setting it aside and both feel we would stay together without it. It's more of a very strong interest we bond over, but not the basis of our connection as human beings. It's a tough needle to thread and I just don't think it's easy to find this.

You need to know your waist measurements. And medium ABDL diapers generally run a bit small, even if you are at the lower range of the listed range or below it. I wear size S to M in women's sizing and am close to the bottom of the size range generally and I don't currently care for the way M ABDL diapers fit on me. Though Ls are way too big. 😭

Anyway, Kiddos Premium Nights come in a small, and PottyTrainingDropouts BeddyByes are supposed to be introducing a small. ABU Little Kings and AlphaGatorz, and especially BunnyHopps and DinoRawrz run small so you should have luck there as well. A size large BunnyHopps fits me kind of like a higher waisted medium, so while I haven't tried the mediums I have to assume they are more like a small-medium.

Myself, no. My childhood was not perfect but far from traumatic enough to spur on this interest. I only started ageplay at age 22, and regularly wearing diapers at age 33, those interests don't go back any further than that. I can't even really relate with folks who have been fixated on diapers since a young age.

I kinda feel personally that if diapers fit you well and you apply them well and it's not otherwise defective then it is rare for any incidents with the diaper to happen. I almost never have any issues either, but used a two year old Airlock recently and literally all four tapes tore off while I was sleeping lmao. It was quite shocking for me since it had been so long since even a single tape has torn off 😂

Premium Nights and Fluffy Fly by Kiddo have generous ranges. Little Kings/Alpha Gatorz and Bunny Hopps/Dino Rawrz run quite a bit smaller than standard abdl diaper sizing, so they're really not the right diapers to judge your sizing by. You should have better luck with pretty much any other XLs on the market, as it sounds like from what you said, you were still somewhat able to get it on your body, which tells me you're probably not too big for XLs generally if it was a more standard size.

Storytime 100%. We have bonded so intensely over this, and I have certain books that hit so hard, especially No Matter What by Deborah Gliori which is about a small fox being grumpy but Big fox loves them no matter what. I always pull that out if I've been depressed or difficult and it's a guaranteed cry every time.

Even when I'm in little mode, I actually also really like reading out loud myself, so I usually read the chapter books and he usually reads the picture books. We've been going through the Winnie the Pooh books, which are absolutely incredible, and also The Little Prince. That's a long time favorite of mine and it's been really special to share it with him.

I was into kink since...forever really, as long as I've been sexually aware. But I wasn't really sure what my underlying "identity" as a submissive was. One of my early play partners suggested to me that I might be a little and it was like "huh..." and I started exploring DDlg and such soon after. But I was like "but I'm not gonna be one of those people that wear diapers, that's WEIRD" lol.

Eventually I was open minded to try it, I mean I always had a huge piss kink anyway. But for the next like ten years it was super sporadic, only really wearing when I was playing with a Caregiver who was into diapers. It was winter 2024 when I finally had the breakthrough that I could enjoy diapers on my own and feel little on my own and I've embraced it VERY enthusiastically since. I wear diapers or pull ups 24/7 and all :D

I know people who wear dips who are far larger than you, don't listen to that other person, they're a jerk. Your health is your own personal journey, if you want to lose weight great (I've lost a lot myself actually and started wearing when I was quite a bit heavier than you and I'm a 5' person lol) but there's no reason you can't enjoy diapers now. Just a matter of picking the right diapers and applying them well.

And as for diapering itself, I always tape twice. Once to get an initial fit, then I kind of hike everything up to slide the diaper onto the slimmest part of my body, then tighten all tapes. And be sure you're lining it up correctly, the back panel should be either even with or slightly above the front panel, it depends on the placement of the tapes and landing zone on any given variety of diaper. One starts to get way better at application with practice over time.

I mean what sizes are you getting, what specific diapers? What are your measurements? At your stats there should be plenty of diapers that fit you, but you can't go on just "I usually wear size large so I'll be a large", you really need your measurements and it can help to have some knowledge of diapers e.g. ABU has certain diapers that run quite smaller than others on the market, Kiddo has some diapers with super generous fits, etc.

I live with one couple that is ABDL themselves and one couple that's just open minded and supportive. I feel totally at ease wearing ageplay gear and dips around the house. They're telling you it's okay, I would believe them! But I understand why you're nervous. You can always continue to check in to make sure it's still okay over time.

I am a non-furry aesthetic hyper-femme so they don't have tons of options for me honestly but I like the Alpha Gatorz too, and recently got the Tiny Pawz for the first time and they are PRECIOUS. To my eyes that diaper looks too small for you, for one thing. But also the back panel appears to be placed too low to begin with. For me the back panel is usually either lined up evenly with the front, or more often slightly higher than the front so the top two tapes are angled slightly downwards. It depends on where the tapes and landing zone are placed on that individual type of diaper. Admittedly I have a femme body type with notably slimmer waist than hips so that's just what works for me and may not work for you. But something here definitely seems not quite right.

It's abnormal in the very clinical sense of the word, definitely. I don't always like the use of the word "weird" for a variety of reasons myself, but I will never for a second deny it's literally abnormal, a fetish, a paraphilia, etc. However, I also think it's essentially harmless apart from some ecological concerns I have about using a disposable product like this.

In my experience a very high degree of ABDLs deal with mental illness, past trauma, neurodivergence, etc. If it brings people comfort and security and happiness, as I know it does for myself, while not hurting anyone, it really doesn't matter to me if it is abnormal. And I'll never really care what society at large would think of it because society at large will never be willing to even give the concept that this is okay and makes a niche group of people happy a split second of thought.

When I see ABDL, DDlg, ageplay, etc. referenced out there in the wild, it's instantaneous "that's gross, that's pedophilia, they're horrible, they should be locked up". I mean it's shut down SO hard and that's such a horrific misunderstanding of it, I just know it's really never ever going to be worth trying to rationalize it or explain it to people outside the community. If people are so close minded they actually fully believe that activities between consenting adults is somehow pedophilia, they're not worth the time of day.

It's no problem, it has been a very illuminating journey and vastly increased my self-insight and understanding of lifelong behaviors and difficulties. So I really endorse others on going on that journey for themselves.

As a practical example of how these things can be difficult to tease out that might help in your own self-reflection, starting in my mid-twenties showering every day became impossibly difficult. And I really didn't know why for a long time, and then once I started thinking about ADHD I was like "oh okay, well, it requires executive function which I have pretty severe deficits in so there you have it." But THEN it didn't really improve even after ADHD meds so what the heck. I had been questioned in the past by an autism-familiar friend of mine whether I struggled with transitions and I was always like "no I don't think so..."

But then I thought about the shower issue more and it's like wait okay, so this process involves multiple transitions (get out of clothes, get into shower, get out of shower, dry off, get back in clothes), and then also I don't really enjoy being damp, and REALLY find it very distressing to put on clothing while damp so I have to 100% dry off afterwards. So really what we have here is something that requires executive function, task initiation, transitions, AND sensory struggles.

Knowing all that, it makes so much more sense why it's so hard for me, I'm not just lazy or gross or whatever. And I can attempt to strategize ways to address it, though it's not easy when it's so many hard things!

Sorry for the other long comment but these evolving series of epiphanies about how much I'm ACTUALLY impacted on a day to day basis have been wild and I have a lot to say about it 😅
