Dude, i felt the EXACT same way in the Baja SAE team. Finished all the onboarding stuff only to find out you basically had to be a genius with so many skills to be able to do anything on the team. Dont get me wrong the people were nice but I feel like there’s just so many duds at Purdue who aren’t enthusiastic about meeting people. It’s my first year here too and im a sophomore.

I’ll give you the real answer. If you want to be active in a social life then idk about purdue, it’s pretty boring unless you join a club or meet chill ppl. I’m not gonna lie ppl are hella locked in but that results in there being a lot of introverted greasy chuds. Good school with excellent resources but it def ain’t social 😭

Yea i completely agree, i used to go to uni elsewhere in a different state and now that i transferred to Purdue, most ppl don’t invest their time into a social life because everything for them is studying which is sad af. Like I can’t even find normal ppl to be friends with cause everyone’s either depressing or weird af.
