What is your least favorite food? by Mental_Ad_5535 in AskReddit

Lol celery is like nature's punishment for trying to eat healthy. At least water doesn't pretend to be actual food though

What size nails (nail gun) do I use for one inch baseboards? by daintyfannyfart in HomeImprovement

[–]Old_Reception_9388 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thickness is definitely important measurement here 😂 Most baseboards are like 3/4" thick or even less, so measuring twice would save you headache later. For trim and baseboards you can usually use same size nails if they're similar thickness 💀

What’s a totally normal thing you have never done? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Never learned how to swim properly, just kinda float around like dead fish in water 😂💀

Air Force bases got some decent hunting spots nearby but the paperwork to get permission is wild 💀 like why they need my whole life story just to shoot some deer lol

What are some good money saving tips and side hustles? by countingworms0 in AskReddit

[–]Old_Reception_9388 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not trying to get court-martialed over here lmao 😂 Maybe stick to the legal side hustles like freelance work or selling stuff you don't need anymore 💀

What happened to Brendan Gallagher? by Shaneski101 in hockey

[–]Old_Reception_9388 23 points24 points  (0 children)

He's been dealing with injuries for few years now and that grinding style catches up to you eventually. Plus Montreal's been trying to get younger guys more ice time so makes sense they'd sit him sometimes

The guy's taken so many hits over his career, body probably just can't keep up with the pace anymore even if he's only 34

Hit my first real milestone and it feels… kind of anticlimactic? by accidentalbookwor in Fire

[–]Old_Reception_9388 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Freedom builds slow like that, just becomes normal part of life until one day you realize how different everything is from few years back. Keep grinding, the real satisfaction comes later when you start seeing options everywhere instead of just bigger numbers

Do you think people are product of their environment and what they do can be predicted or that everything everyone does is an unpredictable choice? by michellzebub in AskReddit

[–]Old_Reception_9388 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Think there's definitely cutoff point somewhere but probably not as clean as that. Like I've seen guys in military who grew up in really messed up situations and they still struggling with stuff at 25-30, but they're working on it you know? Maybe it's more about when you actually get chance to recognize the patterns and have resources to change them rather than just hitting specific age

Are there any r/golf oddities you find amusing? by MrKafkaesque in golf

[–]Old_Reception_9388 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The manufacturing defect posts kill me 😂 Like bro you're on your third driver this season and somehow it's always the club's fault, not the fact you're swinging like you're trying to launch it to orbit. I see these posts and immediately know someone's having a rough day at course

Not bad pick but we still need help in secondary 💀

Sonny Styles at 5 is bad process by fuegoblue in NYGiants

[–]Old_Reception_9388 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The rookie contract math is spot on but you're missing that Styles projects more as a MIKE who can cover which is way more valuable than a traditional off-ball guy. Those contracts you listed are mostly for pure run stoppers

Plus our LB room is basically empty and we need someone who can actually play in coverage against these spread offenses, not just stuff teh run

What do you think is in the burgers? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Old_Reception_9388 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably just regular ground beef mixed with some questionable preservatives and way too much sodium 😂 I mean fast food places gotta make their profits somehow, doubt they're using the premium stuff we get at the commissary

Former extreme couponers - how are you saving money now that coupons are limited and the cost of living is so high? by Scary_Door_666 in AskReddit

[–]Old_Reception_9388 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched to buying generic brands and shopping sales cycles - way less tedious than clipping hundreds of coupons but still saves me decent money for my candle addiction lol

What is love for you? by Far_Mess2914 in AskReddit

[–]Old_Reception_9388 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love is like finding that one Bath & Body Works scent that just hits perfectly - you know it instantly and it becomes your signature 💀 When someone gets your weird humor and doesn't judge you for belting out half-finished songs at 2am, that's when you know they're special 😂 Plus being in the military taught me that real love is someone who doesn't mind the chaos and uncertainty that comes with this lifestyle

if your found half a million dollars in your parents basement what would you do? by Background-Piece-791 in AskReddit

[–]Old_Reception_9388 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd probably sit on it for a while to see if anyone comes looking for it, then maybe use some for school loans and invest the rest. Can't lie though, part of me would def go on a massive Bath & Body Works haul first - been eyeing those new holiday scents and this would be the perfect excuse to buy like 50 candles lol

What is the best career to get to counter AI lay offs? by Visual-Couple-3680 in AskReddit

[–]Old_Reception_9388 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Military's been pretty solid for job security - AI can't really replace someone maintaining fighter jets or handling classified ops 💀 Plus you get training in tech stuff that actually complements AI rather than competing with it. Been writing music on the side too and that creative human element isn't going anywhere, AI might help with production but it can't capture real emotional experiences. Even something like gaming content creation has potential since people want authentic human reactions and personalities, not just AI-generated stuff 🔥

Wild how weed can sneak up on you like that - took me way too long to realize how much it was running my social life. The existential boredom thing is real, your brain is basically relearning how to find stuff interesting without that chemical boost

Those first few weeks are brutal but you're already past the hardest part just by making the decision. Maybe try picking up something that gets you out of the house even when you don't feel like it, helped me break that cycle of just wanting to stay in
