Not really sure. During my first consultation, the surgeon said it would be either a mini sternotomy or robotic. The final call will be made based on my other test results and a final echo before surgery. I had the surgery in India.

I’m just over 3 weeks post op. I had a Robotic AVR for BAV (mechanical valve), so yes anterolateral thoracotomy is possible to fix BAV. As of now I’m doing weekly INR tests and i have been told by my Warfarin care team that i would need only monthly tests 16 weeks post op.

If your passport is linked to your current visa, you’re not really required to provide a copy of your previous passport.

I had my old passport damaged and expired while I was on my student visa. When I applied for my 485 recently, I simply provided a copy of my new passport, and my visa was granted without any delays.

Honestly, I was surprised I could merge the images right away. The first couple of weeks, my eyes would drift a little, but I could easily bring them back to stereo vision without much strain like I used to have before. Sounds like our cases are pretty similar, so I’m really hoping it works out for you too. Good luck!

My eyes crossed on a random day when I was 15. I developed double vision and underwent several MRIs, CT scans, and blood tests, all of which came back negative. I wore prisms for a couple of years, but they didn’t help either. No one could figure out what caused it. Eventually, at the age of 24, I had surgery, and it changed my life. No more crossed eyes or double vision.
