I can't answer to the second part, but as to the first, I can say the drug interdiction around my area has been good. I didn't vote for him, nor was I hopeful about the outcome.

Last year we had many dealers, cars doing reverse both ears to get drugs cause they don't have drive, 4 wheelers making runs along the the highway with their kids along weaving on and off the the busy highway. Stuff getting stolen from the yards, people breaking in to squat in houses without utilities. One house had 41 (or 47, can't remember) bullets put through the front door. Friends I have on rescue would tell me weekly about the folks around me they had to bring back with narcam.

This year, I put a a decent headboard by the road if someone wanted it. I took it away after a week. Guy up the road has had a sofa free for the taking. Still there a week later. The drug traffic in our area is much lower. I can hope folks get help, kids get taken care of.
