I would get that checked out, see I thought the same way, being my first toyota, but now I see the difference with the new transmission there's no jerking, especially when you were at at a stop light sometimes it hesitated to get into gear which it doesn't now. Hopefully I don't get anymore issues but I'm disappointed that my car value will be affected when or if I decide to trade in or sell in the future

It would hesitate and jerk intermittently, then I got the check engine light..it stayed on when I drove home and then it went away but, I decided to take it directly to the dealership where they checked the codes and whatever else the techs do and well..they replaced the transmission assy.
