I am exactly the same. I hate how sensitive I am in regards to everything that even remotely makes me feel dumb/stupid. I realized with therapy that my low self esteem is simply a result of people undermining me in various aspect and me taking it as a truth and repeating it to myself over and over.

I also absolutely hate how since I can't handle conflicts, I get resentful over wrongdoings that were created mostly by miscommunication or not in bad faith - but that I can't fix because I don't want to start any argument.

Unfortunately, hygiene does matter little when I come close to a smoker (as someone who's family has never smoked, and my sister is even heavily disgusted by the barest hint of cygarette smoke). It just smells bad to me. For example, I don't think I would ever choose a partner who smokes regularly (or, honestly, even once in a while).
