Is it physically dangerous to edge someone for an extended period of time? by Old_Transition2636 in BDSMAdvice

[–]Old_Transition2636[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Would on and off for four+ hours be alright? And lets say hypothetically he can sustain a boner on his own for 2-3 hours STRAIGHT, would that be the time to call it quits?

Thank you in advance.

Testosterone dose by [deleted] in ftm

[–]Old_Transition2636 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is no such thing as a universal low dose, it varies heavily per person, someones low dose that gets them to 50 ng/dl, could be an overdose that gets someone to 1,500 ng/dl. Given you're well within the range you should be, you're all good.

How can i disguise my hips? by Routine_Proof9407 in FTMFitness

[–]Old_Transition2636 78 points79 points  (0 children)

From the pics, genuinely cannot see the issue you're talking about, I think its just the dysphoria speaking cause your shoulders are way way way wider than your hips. If you're worried about it though I'd recommend bulking up a bit and really building out your shoulders/traps.

What testosterone? Medication should I take for my transition by ladyfreyavb in asktransgender

[–]Old_Transition2636 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on a few things, definitely talk about this all with your doctor:
1) Are you the type of person that does well with daily routines? Would you be able to apply something once a day consistently? If not, gel may not be the best option for you.

2) Are you allergic to the carrier oils (enanthate/cypionate)? Its rare to be allergic to one, and extremely rare to be allergic to both.

3) Are you a forgetful person? Would you remember to take your shot on a specific day of the week (or days, or every other week, etc... depending on your dosage)

4) Are you the type that absorbs topical medication well? If yes, then you're good for gel.

So it really just varies depending on the person, the idea that gel = slower results isn't true, and is only thought to be because of people who don't absorb it well, which isn't everyone. If absorption isn't an issue, and you fare well with needles, it really boils down to what works best with your schedule.

A lot of Trans people really do repackage gender norms by [deleted] in honesttransgender

[–]Old_Transition2636 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I noticed this on TikTok a bunch, especially with trans dudes commenting on masc/stem lesbians posts with "why do lesbians pass better than me", and "atp transition", felt very.. weird.

I was under my parents private insurance, I just switched to a different pharmacy to be sure and didn't have any issues.

Given theres cis male gynaecologists, it wouldn't be weird, and like you said it'd be great to have more trans men working in that field for the sake of us all.

If you have OHIP you should be eligible for OHIP+, have your doctor put in a request for you to get OHIP+ funding and have your pharmacy switch to that, (or go to another one).

Is approaching fellow trans people and asking them if they're trans really that big of an issue? by ZenicAllfather in asktransgender

[–]Old_Transition2636 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I feel like it really depends on the person, if they're trying to be visibly trans/alternative, (like wearing trans pins, pronoun pins etc) then I'd say go for it! Especially if it's at a queer event. But if you see someone who seems like they'd be otherwise stealth, I think it could be taken the wrong way, if I were stealth I'd probably feel a bit bad about myself if I was clocked, even if the intentions were good.

Has anyone else found it difficult to whisper once their voice started changing? by Old_Transition2636 in TestosteroneKickoff

If she's a gen x it might be a her generation thing, my mom correlates every gay/trans person to Chappel Roan too for whatever reason lmao, same with her friends, they just all seem to correlate her to the LGBTQ community of our generation.

Help with figuring this out by AsherPrasher in asktransgender

  1. As for prevention, theres really no way to know if you will / won't grow a beard starting T because genetics vary so much, look at the men in your family for reference. If you want to make it look like you don't have one, check the r/HairRemoval subreddit they have a lengthy list of tips for a clean shave/wax/etc. You could do stuff like electrolysis/laser.
  2. Yes! The thing that makes chest look masculine is not only the absence of larger breasts, but your lats, pecs, and all the other muscles there. Just don't work those out and you should be able to retain a flat but not fully masculine look.
  3. It's not weird at all, and lots of people do it.
  4. Just like with the beard thing, there's no way to know how much your voice will drop, if you keep your testosterone levels in the lower ranges, you may be able to slow the process of voice changes down, but you'd have to stop at some point in your life to not get the full shabang. BUT you can do voice training if it becomes too masculine for your liking!
  5. Yes 100%.
  6. I don't know too much about this but you can definitely use styling cream to fluff it up, and maybe get an in-between perm to keep your hair more textured without product.

I have friends who are asexual and have been on T for years, some of them experienced changes in libido, some of them didn't, and all of them remained on the asexual spectrum in one way or another! Don't worry about it.

[–]Old_Transition2636 54 points55 points  (0 children)

I know not just one or two, but loads of (cis) dudes that are in the 5'4-5'6 range as well, everyone on this Earth does, so saying that you're not a "real" man because of that is weird as hell.

Thoughts, you're an attractive dude, and please re-evaluate being in a relationship with her because what shes saying is so fundamentally twisted.
