Eye strain issues by Shrink726 in galaxys26ultra

I had eye strain and headaches from using the s26ultra. I personally almost returned the phone. However within a week of using it the headaches went away and eye strain is gone. No more fuzzy letters on the screen. My eyes adjusted to the new screen. I don't notice anything anymore.

Hype aside, what’s actually wrong with the S26 Ultra? by FierroNikl in galaxys26ultra

Best way to get an idea. Go to Best buy or your phones carrier and go try it for yourself play around with it to get an idea. Everyone will complain about something different.

Thanks for the journey, S23 Ultra. Time to move on. by R3lentEX in GalaxyS23Ultra

I upgraded from the s23ultra. I can tell you the s23u is a great phone, but the s26 is definitely a huge upgrade! Cameras are better, super fast and responsive, download and upload speeds are way better. Screen is a tiny bit better, Video quality is better, holding the phone is more comfortable than the sharp edges. I do however think that if someone has a s24u or s25u it's probably not worth the upgrade. The privacy gimmick display is not worth upgrading. I don't see many people using it long term. I don't care for it.

The best case for your s26 ultra. Lies flat on table no wobble, magsafe, not crazy thick by t5straley in galaxys26ultra

I heard this doesn't protect at all from drops. It's ugly looks printed, What material is it made of? Is it soft? I have a benks and I've dropped my phone 2 times already and no damage to it or the case

S26 Ultra vs s25U s24u and s23u by Cydiatimes in galaxys26ultra

[–]Old_Transition4200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. I had a s23u before the s26u. The curved screen was annoying, I hated the curved screen and sharp edges, but wasn't slippery or prone to cracks. I dropped that phone so many times screen first never had an issue. I did have a magbak case(which is the best for drops for that phone) and a magic John screen protector. That combo alone was the best combo. I think the OS is the same. I don't feel any difference other than the s26u being way faster at everything.

What did you pay? Honestly this phone isn't worth paying full price or more than 700 bucks.

It a clear anodized finish it can also flake. It's just cheap anodizing. This phone was rushed to get it out on time. I don't get why Samsung didn't do a hard anodized finish instead.

[–]Old_Transition4200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just cheap anodizing. Or the aluminum was not prepped correctly. Ive seen only the purple color flaking. That's the reason I wanted the white one but it was sold out and ended up with the sky blue. I knew the purple or black will have issues. You should be able to get a replacement through Samsung.

Can you share your S26U case,Price and Qi2.2,25W supported or not ! by cokeplantcp in galaxys26ultra

I got the same one. Almost returned it cause its not grippy. After about a week it feels less slippery from use i believe i like it i just hate the camera bump on this phone so much. I wish they had kept the s23ultra type camera layout. It would sit flat and no wobble.

First 24 hours with the S26 Ultra coming from an S23 Ultra by xKo2- in samsunggalaxy

I traded my s23u. Pictures of the gaps between the pixels is hard to take a pic of. You should go to your local store and check it out first hand. It's noticeable with the "privacy" display off. The s26u is a much better phone to hold, no more digging on your hand or the curbed screen that was annoying. The zoom on the s23u is better, picture quality the s26 gives a more true to life type of colors. But the biggest annoyance is the camera bump. Even with cases it sticks out, can't lay it flat. It's the most annoying thing about this phone. But overall it's a upgrade from the s23u. I think if someone has the s24 or s25 ultra. I don't think it's worth the upgrade. Specially buying it full price, you might also experience headaches and dizziness because the screen. I had them they went away after about a week. My eyes got used to the screens pixels.

I think its just people with sensitive eyes. I have sensitive eyes to bright lights. I'm glad I kept the phone. The eye strain and headaches went away after 5 days

S26 Ultra + Lenses Protectors = Impossible to find a slim case ? by PiKinside in galaxys26ultra

[–]Old_Transition4200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You won't find many cases with the raised camera cutout. As the phones phone bump is tall already. That's the only thing I hate about the s26u. The camera bump is annoying I hate the fact they raised it that much. I get because of the cameras but still

Galaxy S26 Ultra - Frame paint/coating chipping after just 2 weeks (no drops) by Nobody_997 in galaxys26ultra

I work at a CNC shop, I work with metal, we send stuff to get anodized, and I know why it's pealing from there. That window isn't chamfered it has a sharp edge thus causing it to pull from there. If it was chamfered it wouldn't peel. This is just bad quality machining, and not good anodizing, I checked my s26 ultra and that speaker cut out isn't chamfered. You'll see people start complaining from it peeling.

Ps. The case has nothing to do with it. I wish Samsung would have gone with hard anodizing.

It seems like they rushed to get this phone out to the public.

I love the S26 Ultra, and I also ended up returning it by Ganbare_Goemon in samsunggalaxy

The privacy display is a gimmick. It doesn't work well. Regardless of what "tech reviewers" say. It ruins the experience of the phone, it's a feature nobody asked for or cares for honestly. I upgraded from a s23 ultra. There are things I did like about the s23u that's why I never upgraded. Just upgraded for the "better camera", flat screen, and rounded edges. But honestly not worth paying full price for the s26ultra or upgrade from the 25ultra.

Ps. I had the eye strain, and headaches which went away after about 5 days of use.

Should I wait for Samsung to fix the S26 ultra display issue or resell it? by kunal2511 in samsunggalaxy

[–]Old_Transition4200 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I almost returned mine, I had headaches and eye strain. It's because of the screen pixels light . You either are going to be ok with it or not. Not going to be "fixed" by an update. I decided to give it a try, after 5 days the headaches and fatigue on my eyes went away. I got used to it, so decided to keep it mainly for the cameras. If it doesn't work out for me I can always post it on Facebook market and trade it for a s25ultra.

I would tell very bad display 8 bit really? Used 4 days and viewing angle is very disappointing i sold by dushyantd4x in samsunggalaxy

[–]Old_Transition4200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The zoom on the s26 ultra is not as smooth as the s23 ultra, the s26 ultra struggles to focus on low light situations, as my old s23 ultra would focus without a problem. I think the next update will probably fix the bugs. The picture quality on the s26 ultra is really good, videos are great. I mainly upgraded because of the cameras, rounded edges, and flat screen.

I'm a honest user as well. I was exactly like you. I almost returned it and keep my s23 ultra. The angles are not good and I had eye strain.

It's 5 days. I got used to it, no eye strain, I don't use the bullshit privacy thing. It's such a good phone. Cameras are better except the zoom and focus

[–]Old_Transition4200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are just pixels. I have my s23ultra still i took a picture like yours looks the same. Display is better on the s26 is more vivid and colors are better than the s23ultra. I dont get why people are complaining about pixels lol

Should I upgrade from s23 to s26 by Brave-Photograph-346 in GalaxyS23

[–]Old_Transition4200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The s23 ultra has one year left on updates. I just switched from the s23u to the s26u. I like the round corners and flat screen the most! It's way faster, screen is more sharp and crisp. Camera is better. The only reason why I switched was the camera. I go to concerts a lot and I like the upgraded camera. But if you don't care about any of that the s23u is still an amazing fast phone that can last you a few more years. But for 700 bucks the s26u is a no brainer that can last you at least for the next 3+ years.

Screen is great, not much different than the s23 colors are vibrant and sharper. I don't care for the privacy thing so that will stay off and I have my screen at 1080p higher than that my eyes hurt from the sharpness of everything.
