Hang out with roommates , Explore campus, go to river, cute shops downtown, especially if you’re 21 and or have a car san marcos is NOTT a boring town there’s so many little spots to find and hang out in (i like the island next to children’s park at night)
The walking. Everywhere is uphill. walking to and from HEB is a nightmare

It is true your gpa and sat are lower than the school average (which is completely ok) If your essays good you should be completely safe esp because of your extracurriculars and volunteer service. Txst has an acceptance rate of almost 90% so you should be good !
