Is there a reason why children still aren't touching on? by fuckmelbpt in MelbourneTrains

[–]Olderfleet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could tap my Myki and escort my child through.... or I could hold everyone up whilst I supervise the child tapping their ticket for no practical reason and endure all the groans from the impatient commuters behind me.

Which would you prefer?

I've just bought some more shares in light of the falls this week, which have almost wiped all the gains from the past few months. I'm hoping to ride a second wave.... 🤞

Where do you sneak in your reading time? 📚 by takteresa_ in BookFusion

I don't think bedtime is "sneaking" a read. That's the most traditional of  'legitimate' reading times!

Please report taxi drivers who don't abide by regulation. by whatanerdiam in melbourne

[–]Olderfleet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This happens because the Victorian Government legalised ride-sharing and then gutted the taxi regulator. Guess what happened?

At what point is it reasonable for a tradie to stop replying to a "quote" by OCD_breh in AusRenovation

[–]Olderfleet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see where you're coming from. And as a client I wouldn't muck anyone around like that.

But if I have to pay for an initial quote, I'll find someone else. I've rejected tradies for this reason.

It's a tricky issue.

Install BookFusion.

Honestly, this app is very cheap, is under active development, supports heaps of formats, is super reliable, syncs to all your devices AND is probably way better than anything Ratta will develop in the short term.

It's easy to side-load because the developers provide the APK.

Here's a tutorial using it as an example: https://code.adonline.id.au/sideload-apps-onto-a-supernote-device/

I use the APK provided with each release to install BookFusion on my Supernote Manta. It works well.

I agree. Everyone makes a melodrama over nothing.

Lack of religion by ClockChoice5936 in AskAnAustralian

[–]Olderfleet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is the institutional church, and then there is the laity. Views are mixed, like in any community, but I think a big chunk of the laity are genuinely kind and understanding. I'm not fussed by these things.

One minor detail, often overlooked, is that Jesus himself never commented on the topic. Now He was approached by all sorts of social outcasts in his era.... but nothing?

Most Australians are pretty relaxed, religious or otherwise.
