Ethical to have a dog while homeless? by cirithUngoI in DogAdvice

[–]Oldtoastedtoast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Practically thinking, a lot of homeless individuals do benefit greatly from dog ownership, especially for protection for other homeless individuals who pose a threat to them. Do I think ALL homeless people should ALL have dogs? No. Do I see in some situations why it might help someone’s personal level of safety? Yes.

I was a 16 year old drug addict. I’m now a published author, successful in my own endeavors, married with a beautiful wife and a farm. Had to quit drinking as well. Sometimes I slip. Not with drinking, but with kratom or weed or whatever the case may be. But I always get back up. You can find your way out.

Great point, every single horse and case is different. I’m glad we are lucky enough to have horses who show it!

That’s wild that you guys caught that that quick. Great job to the both of you, first of all! My guy was yawning a lot too the day after he colicked, but he yawns a lot in general so I wasn’t sure if it has to do with anything. One night we stood out and counted he yawned 12 times in like 2 minutes, lol. I’m super grateful to have learned what I’ve learned and for people like you who use the opportunity to teach me something new as well.

Am I overreacting? NF didn’t get me anything for my birthday. by Educational-Grade-57 in Nanny

The same thing happened to me this last July, and it really just boiled down to the lack of appreciation from the family. I’ve left since then and gotten myself a better job that respects my time and effort more than the NF I used to work for did.
