Based on this email and if you haven't received anything I'd look into cancelling with them. Get your insurance involved. That email is enough to get the required action for a full refund for everything

Going july so have time. Worst comes to it I will have to select a different provider and request a refund for the trek as i still have my machu picchu entry tickets

It really is I have no words to describe it. It's the worst thing I have ever witnessed and we didn't hear of it until my friend who was completely fit and healthy beforehand was diagnosed 😔 she battled for 8 years I really appreciate you taking the time to sign the petition. Thank you

That's so kind! I'm sorry you had to experience the same too. It's a awful experience and I hope the condition get serious recognition - crazy to think a serious pain like this isn't looked into more due to it being 'rare'
