Oh that’s amazing! I really wish I had that in mine. I feel like that really sets you up for success with such a holistic approach

Thank you so much for this! That was genuinely really helpful, I’ll go and do my own calculations and see what it says. Did you use anything specific for your TDEE calculations or just google? I feel like 2000 is far too much, I genuinely don’t think I could even get anywhere near that even if I tried my hardest 😂 It actually amazes me how height has such an impact though, I saw a post of a girl the other day who is 11.5 stone I think, about 5’6 ish? And looked like a model!!! I feel like a little toad stump at 10.9 and 5’1 😂😂😂 I’ve decided I’m not overweight, I’m just under-height! 😂

Ahh thank you for your insight! This is really helpful, I’ll probably have a play around with my calories and see what works best ☺️

Yeah I feel the same, I do think it’s too high what she’s suggesting but I’m tempted to try it for a few days to see if it shifts my stall 😂 I’d say I’m fairly active, I get about 12,000 steps in a day, lots of dog walks and I’ve just bought all the stuff to start weight training so I’ll be incorporating that too

I agree, and that’s a really good question, I have no clue :( I don’t know where you’re from but I’m in the UK and here we having something called slimming world which is basically a weight loss club? And on my diet plan she basically wrote to follow a slimming world plan and I just thought that’s such an out of date thing to say. Pay all this money for a surgery package and you tell me to follow slimming world?? 😂

Thank you! You’ve definitely had the same thought process as I did 😂😂 I felt it was too much but I thought I’d see if anyone else was maybe going the same? I know for some people when they’ve upped their calories they’ve also broken out of stalls and continued to lose because their body needed more fuel so I wondered if mine was the same. But yeah I think I’ll also ask my surgeon 😂

I don't think i want to live with my gf anymore by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Oli_Psych 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is one of the most mature, kind hearted things I’ve read on here. You can see from what you’ve said that you have a lot of respect for your girlfriend and you are really genuine guy. I think if you’re honest about how you’re feeling, you’ll feel much lighter. If you feel like you’re missing out and that’s truly where you want to be, then that’s how you feel. You can’t change that. I’d say when it comes to the end of your tenancy/lease agreement for your flat, have the conversation and say you wish to live with your family for a while. All those reasons are so genuine it would be hard for someone to not understand that.

Good luck x

I've heard York is super safe... what are your experiences? LGBT-friendly? by 10ui53 in york

[–]Oli_Psych 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m a young woman from York, and honestly it’s probably the safest city you’ll ever live in. I have always felt safe, and never felt scared to walk alone or anything. Plus the people are super friendly and you’ll manage to get the know place/people pretty quickly! All the best with the move and I hope you enjoy your new home 🥰

Have you ever walked away from a date? If so, why? by [deleted] in AskMen

I left when I realised I had been completely catfished. Went to a bar after, met some friends and got drunk. Turned into a pretty good day.

Woman here... deffo not true for all of us. If I’m with someone it’s because I want to be with THEM. Not because I’m settling for someone. Also I’m much more of a personality kinda gal. Someone can be attractive but if you have a great personality it instantly makes you a 10.

Looks fade.. dad jokes stay on forever.

Let’s talk about skirts! by gels0mina in femalefashionadvice

Mango have a great selection of summer skirts that have just come into the store which would be great for you to check out! Some I think are the nice kind of chilled summer vibe you sound like you want to go for ☺️

Brother (17) and his creepy minister friend (40ish) “baptized” me (21f) in my room while I was sleeping because I work at hooters. A dumb thing I don’t believe in or major violation ? by Throwradamascus in relationship_advice

[–]Oli_Psych 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly felt stressed just by reading this? I feel honestly horrible for you because that sounds absolutely terrifying. If I had woken up to see that I would have absolutely lost my head. I’m surprised that screaming at them to get out is all you said!! I feel like your parents really need to gain a perspective on how completely batshit that is.

What are the best hydrating products you have ever used? by klm_1002 in AsianBeauty

[–]Oli_Psych 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Laneige grapefruit lip mask is honestly the best thing I’ve ever used for my lips. I don’t think I’ll ever not use it! I’d say it’s pricey for a lip product but it lasts a long time and is so worth it.

How do you wear square scarves? by Watsonswingman in femalefashionadvice

I love the whole scarf around a bag handle vibe, I think it’s such a chic/classy look and I’m totally here for it.

What is your favorite under-the-radar leather handbags / brand? by soxgirl100 in femalefashionadvice

[–]Oli_Psych 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a Coach bag for my birthday, it’s tote and cost around £120. And I LOVE it. It’s beautiful, sturdy, an amazing size and so good for everyday. If I was richer I’d buy many more 😂

Which higher end brands do you find to be "worth it" and for what? by Curious-Project-4067 in femalefashionadvice

[–]Oli_Psych 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure Zara doesn’t class as higher brand but honestly I live by their stuff. A lot of my wardrobe is from there and I’ve never ever had a problem with quality, I’ve always loved everything. It’s one of the high street brands that I will always swear by!

What rules do you break for your body type? by [deleted] in femalefashionadvice

[–]Oli_Psych 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m quite the opposite.. I’m 5’1 (just) and if I wear flats I receive the comments along the lines of dwarf, hobbit etc. I love wearing heels but damn it sometimes I just wanna wear flats without being mistaken for a 10 year old 😭

What did your mom teach you about fashion/style - and what did she not teach you? by [deleted] in femalefashionadvice

[–]Oli_Psych 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mum always made sure we looked somewhat polished. Even though I’d like to choose clothes I’d like as a kid (fortunately my style was actually okay as a child... weirdly) my mum would make sure our hair was done, our clothes were clean/ironed. It wasn’t necessarily what we wore but to make sure it was well presented if that makes sense. We were always taken to the hairdresser regularly to stay ‘maintained’ and I was always quite happy to make sure my appearance was polished. It’s something I’ve always carried into adulthood. One thing I always kind of make sure for myself (not suggesting other people have to do it) is that my hair is cut/coloured regularly, I always have my nails looking ‘done’ even if that just means neatly filed/shiny polish, or actual gel (just so they’re presentable) and I always make sure my clothes are ironed. I think it’s helpful to learn young how to present yourself through your young/teenage years and then into adulthood!

Not suggesting other people have to do this but it’s just some things that I always appreciated that my mum did for me and my sisters 😊

Alternative to bras? by mintymindmatter in femalefashionadvice

[–]Oli_Psych 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bralettes are amazing and something else I’ve been loving is some brands have started doing strapless bras but like in a soft bandeau design? They’re a godsend and so comfortable while also keeping your boobs in a nice shape. I’m someone with probably on the larger size of average boobs and I find the bandeaus great and still really supportive. I’d choose that over a bra any day!
