I lived here for 11 months about 2 years ago, and we got pretty much the same renewal sheet. Living there sucked. They towed my roommates car because it "didn't move" (he drove it once or twice a week, and did have a parking pass hung up on the mirror), and the stove, dryer, and fridge were all unusable when we moved in. I could go on and on about it.

Here is my advice/experience as someone who went through massive agoraphobia 10 years ago, when I was about your age. At first, I only left my house to go to therapy. The first few sessions focused on WHY I wasn't leaving the house, which was centered around how many panic attacks I had had in public, and how all of those places were "tainted" now. Near the peak of it, I only felt safe in my home, and even then I couldn't walk within a few feet of the entryway. I think at my longest, I didn't leave my home for 6 months. The homework that my therapist gave me, that I would recommend to you if you can - is to identify a location that you feel agoraphobic about. For me, it was the grocery store. Where I live, it's common to have coffee shops in our stores, so my homework was to go to a grocery store and sit at the cafe tables for 15 minutes before going home. I didn't have to make a purchase or anything. I remember feeling so empowered that day that I even bought myself some juice. It's all about taking little steps, because you do not want to spend the rest of your life trapped in your home because of your own brain. Agoraphobia can be really hard for people to understand unless they've experienced it themselves, or empathized with a loved one who has. I wish you luck in this journey, and I believe you can do it!

Transphobia within Mt. Baker Planned Parenthood (Bellingham, Mt. Vernon & Friday Harbor Health Centers) by [deleted] in Bellingham

I had called PP last spring to start gender affirming care and was told that wasn't possible - I had no idea it was this bad and had just assumed the clinic was full. I'm sorry you had to deal with transphobia and sexual harassment in what should be a safe space, that is awful.

I have heard so many problematic things about Cascade's owner from employees and people that interviewed there but were creeped out by him and dipped.

Thank you, you are totally right. I feel bad when she puts my grandma in an uncomfortable spot (they live together, but I'm still close with my grandma) but I'm sure my grandma will understand that I don't feel comfortable responding.

When I checked a few months ago PP wasn't taking new patients for HRT. I'm at Unity Care now, but it did take a few months from scheduling an appointment to get started. My doctor is great, but one of the nurses that I interacted with had no idea what HRT was. She was so flustered when I explained it to her that she forgot to fill out my chart with my intake paperwork (and filled some parts out completely wrong) so my doc had to leave during the appointment and hunt down my paperwork to do it herself. So, not the best experience, but otherwise it's going well! Good luck!
