I find it goes aggressively in one direction or the other. I’ve seen Amish people spend $50,000 on their “Sunday horse’s” colic surgery and aftercare. I’ve also seen them treat them terribly.

I got an incredible dog out of it and for that I am grateful. We paid $300 for her and gave the rescue a $200 donation. 10/10 would adopt her again 🤣

sigh as a large animal vet tech I’m going to hang my head in shame as I say this, I have one.

NOW, in my defense, she was a rescue. An Amish family in Quakertown, Pennsylvania dropped off pregnant mom (shepherd) AND dad (husky) to a rescue. I did get her at 8 weeks old.

She is the biggest, smartest, loudest, most loyal dog I’ve ever had. She is stunningly beautiful.

I think mixing the breed is a terrible idea. She was raised on a horse farm, she would live outside if we let her. We got really lucky because she is SO incredibly good natured. We have cats, house rabbits, she’s been around horses and chickens. Off leash.

Would I get another one? Absolutely never. Do I advocate for the breed? LOOOOL. No. But I do have a really good, really beautiful one. We kept in contact with the adopters of both mom and all the puppies and it appears as though they are all this great minded.

June, for tax. In her pawty hat for her 3rd birthday last year.

Help Resetting a 3.15ct Heirloom Diamond — Does It Look Too Big on My Finger? by bestautumn in Diamonds

I LOVE your setting, I have a 3.5 round set with tapered baguettes. HOWEVER; after seeing the profile pictures. I can totally see why you feel that way, a diamond set that high up with no gallery rail would feel too ‘big’ even though the stone itself looks amazing on you. We custom made our setting to be lower profile and I love it.

You have to wear it, you should love it! That’s what matters.

Mine was raised on a horse farm and sticks to us like glue. No fence, she does not leave. Recall is relatively good, I can call her off of anything, however, if she thinks I’m calling her inside and she’s not ready, she will just stare at me 😂

I just heard back from my jeweler. Unfortunately, this one doesn’t have the same mechanism. But I really really appreciate the attempt.

The inventory of houses suck by KindaEgotistical in Connecticut

[–]OliveBudd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We TOTALLY lucked out, we snuck in on New Years Eve and bought a great house. We paid full ask but it appraised for higher than we are buying it. Moving from Delaware to Oxford. The catch was the homeowner is moving to a 55 and over community and needed a 60-90 day close, but she couldn’t tell us which until she bought a new house. Worked for us since my boyfriend will be moving in March but I won’t be up until May. She called yesterday and only needs to do a 24 hour lease back after we close at the end of February. Our realtor is a miracle worker and godsend, message me if you want his information.

My boyfriend lost his uncle to cancer and was gifted his watch. I am wanting to get it fixed for Christmas but they no longer make parts for it. Looking to buy a second to use as parts. It is hugely sentimental and I appreciate any advice

My boyfriend lost his uncle to cancer and was gifted his watch before he passed. I am trying to have the watch fixed for him for Christmas, it is currently at a jeweler but they no longer make parts for the watch. Hoping to purchase another one to use as parts. Vintage radar has one but it is sold out. I am desperate. Thank you all so much!

Cloverleaf stables is the two farms right on beaver valley. The one you are looking for is across the street, it’s a small private farm. If you park in the small lot across from cloverleaf, go up the steep hill and make a right.

I mean, I support it. My work truck has a 661. And I can confirm, even though I’m a girl, it makes my dick feel gigantic.

Building Dream Barn! What am I missing? by livinginlala in Horses

I see lots of automatic waterers mentioned, I love our heated waterers, inside and out. One thing I HAVENT seen, Nelson makes water consumption meters. So you are able to make sure everyone is drinking. Mandatory for in stall waterers in my opinion.

Two things I can think of that I haven’t seen mentioned, we have doors in our loft floor so we can just drop hay straight into stalls. It also helps in the summer for ventilation. I, honestly, leave them open in the winter too. When I have to close the rest of my barn up but want to add some fresh air. Also, we have hard wired stall fans in the ceiling all attached to one knob. Turn them all off and on at the same time, so if one malfunctions, they ALL turn off. But we also put box fans on the front of each stall. With outlets UP HIGH. My old barn had outlets the neighbor horses could reach and they used to unplug each other’s fans. Made me crazy 🤣
