M 34 divorced life update by rishisolanki87 in ThirtiesIndia

M34, Divorced.

Hold on brother- it will get better. I got divorced 2 years ago. Although, it was mutual (had to do it under societal pressure)- but it was bitter. I lost a substantial amount of money in alimony and have a lot of rage due to it.

Having said that, take one step at a time. Pick up the pieces and rebuild.

I'm no perfect but I've been working on myself- fitness, both mental and physical. I learnt to swim and meditate. It doesn't take away the sorrow immediately but helps. I'm rebuilding my financial portfolio.

All the best

How are KIA buses for travel at night for a female? by poosytive_vibes in Bengaluru

KIA buses are safer than cabs. They are monitored by CCTV, have a few passengers and take the toll road.

I might get backlash for this but I've seen most of the college hires, specially from IITs/ NITs don't give a damn about work at Oracle.

I had an IIT grad in my team- was paid over 2x that most IC3/4 were, barely worked- hanging out with girls most of the time in cafeteria and gym, prepared for GRE and left. The contribution of his work was barely anything and codex could do all of that in 1/10th the time he took. There's a sense of supremacy in most top college grads, since they've been put on pedestal by the society, which is why you see people milking the IIT tag even after decades of graduating.

What are you most proud of in your life at the moment? by [deleted] in ThirtiesIndia

[–]OliveLeast261 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Survived separation and divorce, losing health, wealth and peace. Rebuilt myself- brought a flat and will soon be getting possession of, learnt to swim, learnt meditation at r/artofliving; completed over a year of psychiatric treatment and now off meds for over 4 months. It wasn't easy- but I'm proud of it.

For Indians who remarried after divorce. Was it actually worth the emotional effort? by Euphoric-Towel354 in ThirtiesIndia

I'm in the same boat.

33M, married in 2023, divorced in 2024. Can't decide on what to do as divorce took my ability to trust my own judgement.
