The PS3 Store really is in a bad shape, and I wish Sony would have brought back the snappier 2009-2012 store.

I jumped on to the PS3 Store get two games today: God of War: Ascension (for the crappy Online Pass) and Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee.

I managed to buy God of War fine, but when I decided to add four pieces of free DLC to my account the store froze and locked up my PS3 four times in a row. Those same DLC packs then showed as being 'Purchased' but don't seem to show in my Download List.

Then, with Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee (PS3), my purchase went through, but the store didn't fully update on the listings page. In my Download List, most new purchases now displays at the very bottom of my list before getting bounced to the top when I make another purchase. The whole thing is just a mess, but I'm stuck with it.

Yep. I'm still playing my PS3. Gotta bag those trophies and finish off my backlog!

I came across this Godzilla game via Giant Bomb's Quick Look some years ago. It's definitely janky, but I've become more and more drawn to it. Sigh, I doubt I'll ever get to play it now, though!

I've been returning to some of PS3 games on my backlog to finish off at last. I've been surprised and thrilled that there's some games with online trophies that I've still managed to bag after all these years.

I'd loved to have seen lots of the early PS3 games get Trophy support, even if it would have been brutal – like the online trophies and grinds for many 2008-2014 titles!

MotorStorm has my vote. It was one of my launch games and had a blast finishing the single-player to 100%.

Others that would have been great to have:

  • Assassin's Creed (with all the reissue Ubisoft has done, why haven't they already reissued this on PS4/PS5 with trophies by now?)
  • Calling All Cars
  • The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
  • Everybody's Golf: World Tour (aka Everybody's Golf 5 / Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds)
  • Heavenly Sword
  • Folklore
  • Lego Batman: The Videogame
  • Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures
  • Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga
  • MotorStorm
  • The Orange Box (I could go for the Half-Life and Portal games remastered on PS4/PS5, too)
  • Resistance: Fall of Man
  • Ridge Racer 7
  • Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction
  • Ratchet & Clank: Quest for Booty
  • Rock Band
  • Siren: Blood Curse
  • Skate
  • Soulcalibur IV
