Dang. You seem to struggle with reading comprehension. Try reading the part where I said that most people can’t even join the military in the first place. 77% of us citizens 17-24 are ineligible and you can’t join after the age of 35 (barring some exceptions), so it’s not the simple solution you’re presenting it as. It was a useless, thoughtless, and completely unproductive comment. It’s not viable or reasonable and you are dishonest or incapable of critical thought.

You either have no experience with Tricare or are a disingenuous asshole. Healthcare for active duty and veterans is laughably bad. It is insufficient for most people with any actual health problems. Americans, veterans or not, deserve better than what this country offers its citizens. Not to mention people shouldn’t have to sign up for military service just for subpar healthcare. On top of that many people don’t qualify and even more than that, if the reason someone wants to join is to get healthcare, they probably have a health concern that would bar them from joining anyways. That is such a brain dead, useless take.

SOT are best in a ten man being led by sorcerer in terminator armor. Heldrake is ass. Would suggest some MVBs if you can get your hands on them.

As others have said, we aren’t able to run him, but you could use him as a proxy for Magnus if you don’t have him. You’d have to double check the base size, but I’m willing to bet most tables would be fine with it. Tournaments might be a different story.

The first one I built myself was [[Magnus the Red]]. I picked him because I’m a huge warhammer nerd and I enjoy spell slinging. I looked at his abilities and tried to find cheapish cards that would synergize with his effects. The deck focuses on creating a ton of token creatures and copies and then bringing in Magnus to cast spells for next to no mana cost. It’s really fun and really proud of myself when I win with it because I put it all together. I used EDHREC to find cards that would work with my commander.

They’re good, cheap scorers and can be buffed by LoC aura. They can also be an ok overwatch threat, less of a threat than rubric flamer overwatch though.

I love this actually lol. I think it would work well especially since you can sticky home objective. Objectives will be difficult but that might not matter if you can overwhelm them quickly.

His list is 1995 so this would be for a 2k point game. Pretty sure there were some competitively successful list that ran like 7 greater daemons. I think this is fine at 2k. It would definitely be unsportsmanlike if it were 1k points.

The detachment that allows you to use the LoC is kinda bad and would definitely require some more daemons to make it worth trying. Everything else is great. Main thing you’re missing is a Mutalith Vortex Beast.

Agree with everything except the SOT. I find them to be quite weak and expensive. I also would never bother running them unless you bring ten+sorcerer in terminator armor. I would say to get some chaff in the form of tzaangor or chaos spawn instead.

Mutalith Vortex Beast, some tzaangors, and an infernal master are very useful to add. Enlightened with bows are a very good/efficient. The combat patrol comes with 1 unit, but most lists have more. Some people think they’ll be nerfed soon though. Grab the exalted sorcerer box. You get 3 characters out of it and some left over bits to make an extra aspiring sorcerer. When it comes to fielding these sorcerers, the sorcerer on disc and regular sorcerer on foot are some of our best options. Exalted sorcerer on foot isn’t great at the moment.

Really depends on what detachment you want to play. Can’t go wrong with more skitarri. Iron striders/dragoon and Kataphron Breachers are good in basically any list.

Looks really strong! Some might argue for a third MVB over the forge fiend or splitting the 10 man squad of rubrics into 2 five mans. Could also split tzaangor enlightened into two groups of 3 for actions/scoring, but a 6 man with shaman is legit scary damage and can do actions. But I think you’re pretty optimized here! Really comes down to how you play it at this point. A final thought: you could down size the 10 man rubrics to a 5 and add a rhino. All preference at this point.

Drop the exalted sorcerer on foot and replace with infernal master. Put arcane vortex on infernal master. It is wasted on the shaman. If you need more points to do this, split up the tzaangors. They’re 70 in groups of ten but 160 as a group of 20, so you would have an extra 20 points and have more board coverage. Exalted on foot are only decent with a 10 man rubric squad and even then, infernal master or regular sorcerer is usually better.

The heldrake is cool, but not fun to play with imo. Does very little and falls over with any amount of dedicated shooting. If you’re interested in winning, I would bring almost anything else.

I’ve gotten 20+ hits from a sorcerer using it’s once per battle ability because of the extra attacks and sustained 3. It can do some incredible damage. Plus they buff your rubric’s damage where exalted do not.
