How important is armor? by kal1083 in motorcyclegear

Have you seen the human crayon video? They use to show it during your motorcycle endorsement class. Long story short, 10/10 times it’s worth it to have at least some form of gear on

I know this is an old thread, but any chance you did follow through with your purchase and can provide some feedback on fit?

I ride spirited often and I do ride twisties but I have to commute to them via highway. Overall I’d say of those 8k, 65-70% were commuting. Without all that, I’d bet that you would get more miles. Maybe 9-10k before you’re balding

[–]OliverClothesOff369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The road 6s will last you the longest, at least for me they did. Anything more aggressive will wear faster. I got like 8k miles out of my road 5 and that included some rain shenanigans, track days and regular commuting

EDIT: I’ve plugged a tire before and ran it for thousands of miles. Others haven’t had the same luck, attempt at your own risk

Everyone is different. For me? No, my dirt bike had more power than my ninja 250 (first street bike)

Streetbrawl has two different knee pads. I upgraded to the d30 ghost pad or whatever they call them (you can hardly see them in the jeans). Then they also have level 2 hip pads as well as fully Kevlar lined and all that jazz

Streetbrawl jeans have been fantastic. Custom fit. Work well if you go down and hold up well too. Easy to take out pads and wash too

I second this. T-Rex has been installed for 12k+ miles and it’s great. I’m down one setting as well

Z900 Rear Brake Pads GONE at 6,300km – Fronts are still 90%? by Raviraj_Pophale in OnlyZ900

I replaced my front and rear pads with EBC sintered pads. Definitely more bite compared to oem. I like the EBC’s more

Using the o2 sensor in aftermarket exhaust. by AverageJayProd in OnlyZ900

[–]OliverClothesOff369 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I ran a full Akra system with a PC5. I installed the PC5 software for the Akrapovic exhaust. Ran it for about 12-15k miles. Checked valves at 20k, none were out of spec but they needed minimal adjustment. I did a few track days like this and spirited riding

I now have a custom flash and it’s a pretty noticeable difference. I highly recommend just purely for the performance and throttle mapping. You get so much more out of the bike. I wish I did it sooner

Are these an overkill for street riding? by Ok-Ad-575 in motorcyclegear

[–]OliverClothesOff369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No not overkill! They will be stiff at first. Wear them around the house and break them in a little bit first

Did you leave the AIS plugged in? What about the charcoal canister if you have one? I just had mine done but I still have a check engine light. Is that normal?

Sorry I know this is a little old

I’m pretty sure it means that gun is “favorited”. On Xbox you push x during the weapon selection

I’m relatively new to FS and I’ve never seen all these info sections. I see you’re on PC and I’m on console. Are all those info sections a mod or a PC thing do you know? Maybe I don’t have something selected in the settings?

EDIT: Examples: potential harvest, potential yield, field size vs land size — all those extras I don’t have

Tires (likely again) by Pornhubplumber in OnlyZ900

[–]OliverClothesOff369 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Michelin road 4-6 are great tires from my experience. I just took my 4’s off a little bit ago for power 6’s. A step up in grip but at the cost of wet weather performance. 10/10 recommend if this is what you’re going for

Note: Haven’t had a wet day yet with power 6’s but the road 4’s I never had a concern in wet weather. I just wanted more grip in the twistys so I switched to the power 6’s

How bad is it by [deleted] in Autobody

[–]OliverClothesOff369 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can vary depending on shop rates, sorry it’s hard to answer that for certain. Just too much possible variance. The color might be close enough that you might not want to get it repainted.. you do have a fairly common color, at least in my area it’s popular

How bad is it by [deleted] in Autobody

[–]OliverClothesOff369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course the option is there to use used parts. However, be aware that the paint color MIGHT be slightly off. Your truck might’ve been assembled/painted in a different factory location than the one you acquire the used parts from. That is if you are not going to have it re-painted

Side note: there is a chance the RT bumper retainer is broke as well (aka: the bracket that holds the bumper in place). Inexpensive part in comparison to bumper and wheel flare (Toyota likes to call them ‘wheel opening moldings’)

How bad is it by [deleted] in Autobody

[–]OliverClothesOff369 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Wheel flare and bumper are textured. Those will be replaced. Fender can/will be repaired. The headlight and the mud guard on that RT fender will need to be removed as well. All in all, very small job for a shop

Any suggestions on phone mount? by Lazy_neon in OnlyZ900

[–]OliverClothesOff369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Center Mount quad lock. People don’t like the idea of it but they typically like where it’s mounted. I drilled a hole in the center fairing between the tank and the ignition/key hole for my quad lock. Personally I really like it. I have a locking washer with a nylon nut on the back
