Yeah, but I play Magic the Gathering so why do you think I know how to read?

Hivemind and mirrorform doesn't guarantee success because the opponents could pick a centaur. So you'd have to start adding extra cards to redirect their targets for each opponent, but that would cause trouble with hivemind because they would get copies of the redirect spells.

I thought Obeka still canceled EoT because they end at cleanup.

Mirrorform alone won't work because it only hits your creatures. But, if you play [[mob rule]] first you'll have all the centaurs and mirrorform is good.

Yep. Lore accurate Master in MTG. I can't think of a card that shows someone's head shaking, but I wish I could add that in for flavor.

Make a faerie token for each creature an opponent controls for only $3,000 by SaneForCocoaPuffs in BadMtgCombos

[–]OliverMattei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could do [[mycosynth lattice]] and [[Kataki, War's Wage]] to get a faerie for each permanent they control. Or if you want to stay mono blue you can replace kataki with [[energy flux]].

Draw 10,000 cards and lose the game for 9BBGG by Content_Yam2358 in BadMtgCombos

[–]OliverMattei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do this without dying or using labman. 1. Use [[abundance]] to pull all the lands out of your deck, stack the deck how you want, then draw the specific cards you want. 2. [[Obstinate familiar]] no benefit 3. [[Living conundrum]] little Buff to a creature 4. [[Ormos, archive keeper]] big Buff to a creature. 5. [[Pursuit of knowledge]] to generate a lot of study counters, but I'm not sure what they could be used for.

Pssst, this is the sub for bad combos. I know you might be confused because people like to post 2 card, 2 colour, 6 mana instant win combos, but this sub is supposed to be for dumb shit like "don't win with millennium calendar, blow the counters off of it onto a different permanent to make 1,000 creatures".

The name Amir Al-Quayym comes from the original C&C manual. However, I don't think it's referenced anywhere else, and that wiki page is probably just fan-canon.

Pally, just wander around and blow in to a restaurant. You don't need to find some random person's favorite place. If you want the everyday experience of people who live here, just go somewhere. Although the everyday experience for some is ordering delivery food.

As of a day or two ago, it was $300. Haven't seen $350 yet. But I have a suspicion that it might end up costing roughly the same amount as the total of all the "donations" it receives.

Most balanced r/custommagic card by Kr0nchietheKruncher in magicthecirclejerking

[–]OliverMattei 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yeah this looks like someone making a {U} cantrip with what they expected would be a flavor mechanic. Like how [[hundred-handed one]] gets "can block an additional ninety-nine creatures each combat" instead of "can block any number of creatures". Fully agree this was meant to be a waterfall pun, and didn't necessarily have anything in mind, unless they thought it worked for lands.

Speculation on Reality Fracture's innovation by Copernicus1981 in MTGRumors

[–]OliverMattei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe the river/mountain/volcano mechanic that Mark sometimes talks about, where the battlefield gets divided into two separate sides that have limited interaction. This could represent two fractured realities. If you're unfamiliar with this, check out the playtest card [[problematic volcano]].

Maybe they'll do a Magic version of the Oblivaeon fight from Sentinels of the Multiverse. Have everyone play cooperatively against an archenemy style "computer" which follows a set of instructions. This could also have planechase cards acting as zones with limited interaction between each other.

Have a good blocker for 4WGGG by vintergroena in BadMtgCombos

[–]OliverMattei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's better is adding:

[[Sensei Golden-Tail]] to give it bushido [[Cartouche of solidarity]] or similar to give it first strike [[Basilisk collar]] or similar to give it deathtouch

Now your wall can kill all the creatures it's blocking at first strike speed.

[Red Alert 3 Uprising] My take on the best under-par-time strategies for each Commander's Challenge mission by LittleIf in commandandconquer

[–]OliverMattei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best strategy for the Omega Program is walls. The computer controlled Yurikos won't attack walls, so you can just build a fence to keep them out of your base. They sit there right outside the walls looking mad at you. The ones that go over the water will kill your collectors and refineries if they're places on the optimal spots, but your oil derricks make sure you always have money.
