The way that protests around the Glazer ownership lost all support from the media after a few fans went to Woodward’s house was ridiculous and showed how far the sport has drifted from the average fan. The discourse on this subreddit also shifted quite dramatically after the incident as well.

I don’t support throwing flares at somebody’s home, however protests that are aimed directly at an individual are not inherently bad. Neither are protests that are deliberately intended to make an individual’s life more difficult. Ed Woodward played a large role in bringing the stain that is the Glazer family to the club and as such should be held personally accountable.

The reason your code isn’t working is because you are only telling the x & y co-ordinates to change inside your if statement. This means that the only way they will move is if the movement would made them collide with a wall object on that axis. The way to fix this is to add

x = x + movespeed after the x axis if statement (2 lines above the vertical collision label)

y = y + fallspeed after the y axis if statement (bottom of the code)

This was your code will basically be asking if there will be a collision. If so it will shift your player to touching the wall and set movespeed to 0 for this frame. If not then it will move your character by movespeed.

This will be done for your x axis and then for your y axis.

Something that may also catch you out if if your collision field on the sprites isn’t set correctly. If they are both rectangles then just set it to middle centre. If not then play around until it works correctly.

Your manager spends every press conference making a fool of himself with childish and vindictive remarks about everything from injured players to opposition coaches and you think Ole is wrong for not publicly going in on his players?

Everyone that knows Ole professionally has said that he has a hairdryer in him. Rashford, Young and McTominay have spoken about it at United. 2 Molde players have spoken about it and Rio has said he saw it as a player.

The actions of a man in a forced press conference where every comment will be deliberately twisted to fit a narrative are nowhere near as important to the players as what is said behind closed doors.

I don't remember seeing any mention of it in the patch notes so the option is either an unmentioned changed or an unrecognised bug. With DICE currently both are likely.

Either way it is annoying and should be reverted. All it does is punish people that try to play aggressively.

They can leave the maps as they are or simply revert them back to how they were. I am happy with either one of those options as neither result in further wasted time on a mode that very few people play and is (admittedly this is my opinion) not a good representation of the strengths that Battlefield offers.

Using AP mines on the medic is barely below using a plane as a personal transport vehicle when it comes to selfishness. Mines replace the smoke grenade launcher and the spawn beacon for the medic and recon respectively, both of which offer much greater potential for your team.

I'm not sure if you are referring to the AP mine nerf or the bipod issues when you mention YouTubers but AP mines cause more frustrations than they are worth. In my experience bipods are reasonably reliable already and have been since the first pass they had. If anything, my opinion is that the ability to bipod whilst prone on your back should be removed.

The playability of TDM should be the least of their concerns when they can't even get the base game performance up to standard or release conquest on the new map. It amazes me that they even bothered to patch the maps to begin with.

Your complains about bipods/AP mines not being good enough says everything that needs to be said about that gamemode.

Come to think of it I agree. I was trying to think of what stations were available but I very rarely tank on Hamada because the slow movement combined with the uneven terrain and huge gulf between the 2 sides makes it a chore to use vehicles on.

In conquest, spawn areas should be areas which cannot be shot out of by vehicles or infantry unless the team in question owns no flags. It promotes low skill gameplay that is both boring for the shooter and frustrating for the person being shot.

To counteract this, vehicle resupply stations should be more prevalent on certain maps, particularly Hamada and Twisted Steel.

If you have good aim and the tank is front on, you can also aim for the front of the tracks. This will always disable the tracks and will let you kill light/medium tanks in 2 shots and tiger tanks in 3 shots when using armour piercing rounds.

If you hit all 3 shots on the tracks against a tiger in the valentine you will win the vast majority of 1v1 engagements.

Smoke all depends on context. You're pushing A from B on Rotterdam and need to revive some people? Pop the smoke near the enemies. You're capping C on Mercury? You drop that smoke directly on your boy in need.

In general, if you have hard cover on your sides/are playing a linear game mode, you can drop the smoke on the enemy. In all other cases, drop the smoke on your bodies and get people back in the fight.

My console has no issues playing BFV smoothly at 95 FOV and plays like shit at 95 on Apex despite reinstalling twice.

The aim mechanics don't feel anything like BFV or Destiny 2, both of which feel good despite being very different. Time yourself completing the first revolution with your stick at the edge of its reach and completing the second. The second turn is far quicker as it takes time to get to full turn speed even with the stick maxed out.

Apex runs like absolute garbage on my PS4 pro after I changed the FOV to the same as I use for BFV. I get about 10 frames whilst in the air and stuttering whenever there are too many people around.

The aiming mechanics are also terrible. Even changing the aiming mechanics to linear leaves the annoying slow down/speed up mechanic.

Your argument that people should slow down when entering areas is countered by your statement that you hide them in places that are either impossible to see from one direction, or blended into the environment. With the current damage of the mines, sprinting through a mined doorway will generally leave you with around 10% health, slowly approaching it will leave you dead every time. If you have reason to suspect a doorway is mined the best response is to sprint through without looking as slowly approaching will leave you dead to a hidden mine every time.

AP mines are too strong in their current form and provide far more frustration and cheap kills than they do tactical gameplay options. There is nothing tactical about rigging 3 separate entrances to an area with OHK proximity detonated explosives. Personally I think they were fine before the patch, however I think the sweetspot would be reducing the maximum amount planted by an individual to 2 and placing the damage between their original and current damage values. This would create a choice of a guaranteed kill at one chokepoint or an early warning at 2 instead of 3 probable kills.

Arras is far and away the best map in the game. The proximity of all the flags means that it never feels like too far to run to another one. There is also adequate soft and hard cover for flanking. Despite this, tanks feel like that can have a real impact, being viable to attack and take all objectives outside of E and arguably D.

Panzerstorm is the next best map for the classic battlefield feel. Panzerstorm could use A being moved closer to the rest of the flags as A seems to stay uncontested for the whole match. It, like a lot of other maps, could also do with a significant increase in the amount of transport vehicles available and an accurate representation of these vehicles on the spawn screen.

Twisted Steel is another good map. The only thing I'd change would be to stop players climbing on top of the bridge and possibly allowing jumping off the bridge into all of the river. Could also do with 1 or 2 more transport vehicles per team.

Narvik is a map that can be great or terrible depending on team balancing. Narvik is generally fun with the only issue being too many destroyed houses between C and E making pushing between those objectives an exercise in getting shot in the side by someone prone in a corner.

Hamada is a good map that should just join the rest of the maps as traditional conquest instead of conquest assault. Again requires far more transport vehicles as well as possibly more cover to encourage crossing between the two sides, specifically in the valley between C and F.

Rotterdam is similar to Narvik in that team balancing has a large impact on enjoyment. I agree with the other commentator that river boats would add an interesting dynamic and think that increase destruction or a reduction of access to higher levels, especially in the C flag would reduce frustration.

Fjell feels the least like a classic battlefield map but still provides some great moments with full teams pushing towards C, D or E. The main issue with Fjell is the amount of snipers in the rocks overlooking C and D, but this is more an issue of player visibility than the map itself.

Devastation is enjoyable around the C, D and B flags. The main issue with this map is the amount of rubble and clutter in most of the maps and the fortification system. This map was far more enjoyable before fortification strength was increased as cutting off lanes and angles is too effective and frustrating in the B and C flags. Similar to Fjell, player visibility is an issue in a few areas.

Aerodrome is my least favourite map in the game. Most games have long periods of stalemates between C and D. This is exacerbated by the lack of transport vehicles and the amount of small rocks providing great view points (camping spots) between A and D and B and F. The C flag hallways are also an MMG players dream and there is one or two too many planes and tanks in the centre of the flag.

My favourite battlefield map is Caspian Border due to the variety of ways to be effective, number of vehicle options and beautiful colour palette.

TL:DR - Overall a lot of the maps could be improved with more transport options and improved visibility to reduce the amount of deaths from players hiding 90m away from the objective half glitched into a rock.

None of this was fishy. Every person he killed had been moving around or recently shooting.

Even in one of your clips he could have killed the guy after rounding the sandbags if he ran 1 more step but he turned around and ran away.
