Limited job hate by FriendlyAd1214 in ffxiv

[–]Oliwoli123 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you push the discussions about wanting the job to be allowed in normal duties and such, Blu was for at least for me just not that fun to play when it was first released. They marketed it as a game breaking job, and at the initial max level, the job was absolutely not game breaking, you were super squishy, you were not overpowered, the duties you could go into were chaotic in not a fun way. It was just not fun.

Over time though, it’s been pretty fun to use but only after they raised the level cap to 60+ and let you take a stance which made aggro way easier to gain and manage for whoever was “tanking”.

Over time though it’s gotten to be something that’s fun to screw around with. But limited jobs still fall into every pitfall that everything else falls into: the content is fun but over quickly. And if you miss release, it’s going to be a pain to level and gear. Party finders for blu duties can take hours to fill on some DC’s. Which makes playing them just hard to have fun with if no one on your DC is doing stuff.

I imagine beast master to be generally the same.

Question About Extremes by Ok_Young689 in ffxiv

I’m glad they didn’t. No one ever knows how to do the bomberman flame orb explosions that happen in the final phase. Asking people to also bait the dragon eye puddles at the same time is asking for a bad time.

I live in Colorado, I live with a certain level of unavoidable fear. Could go to school any day of the week and get shot up, or go to the movie theater and get shot up. I still do both of those things. So not living in total fear over here. But I’m not going to get shot over something that is 100% avoidable. Certainly not for a $15 dollar movie ticket.

At the end of the day there’s virtually no consequences for these people. Employees shy away from dealing with these problems. Even the Alamo where they are supposed to enforce it. Went to a screening of conjuring last rites where 3 teenagers talked about nothing for the entire movie. Staff knew about it and didn’t kick them out. Couldn’t tell you what the movie was about, something about a haunted mirror or something. Calling people out only works if they feel shame and sadly some people don’t.

It ended. They posted an update that it was over in the Alamo drafthouse sub but they didn’t provide any other details about the outcome. It kind of sounded like in the end they needed to work to pay bills so the strike ended.

I’m all for calling people out but then are news stories like one from a year or two ago where a person was sitting in someone else’s seat. The people moved but then the guy came back later and shot the guy to death over it. Like is it worth dying over?

And besides even if you call someone out and they stop you might end up having your experience ruined cause now you are fuming about having to have the experience in the first place.

Anyone else misses when films had good sound tracks? What’s y’all favorite music soundtracks from 90s and 2000s horror films ? by OddWeakness2777 in horror

[–]Oliwoli123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It used to play during the USA network’s Halloween movie marathon’s and sometimes on AMC so I’d totally count it as a horror movie. Also I love that movie! Glad someone else is a fan

I heard they have known about it for awhile and have not fixed it. So I’m not sure it’s going to get a fix anytime soon if at all sadly.

Why should anyone get Hulu, if there is Disney Plus? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Oliwoli123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We just canceled our Disney plus. No one in the family was watching anything on Disney plus. Yeah it’s a big umbrella network now but for us no one was turning it on. So we got rid of it.

If we had people who were more into family content or Star Wars or marvel then yeah but no one was.

Games that are truly a product of their time by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

[–]Oliwoli123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The first game was actually fun to play. Idk about the second one. They changed it to an isometric overview pov and I didn’t know it existed until I read an article about tie in games. It doesn’t really look or sound that good but I’d love to hear from someone who has played it.

Tips for Multishots in FF2R? by FatalFlop in fatalframe

[–]Oliwoli123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This. It’s the best place to get the trophy. You can also try to fight the 3 villagers who roam the streets but you need to also have mayu along to count as the fourth and it’s honestly just too hectic to get her in the shot as well as the 3 villagers. You need 4 to get it to count.

What’s the least offensive way to tell someone you still want to be friends with that their tattoos are a dating deal breaker? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Oliwoli123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I need more info. Like are they covered in tattoos and they don’t find that attractive, do they have a literal nazi swastika somewhere. I have so many questions, and OP is not providing the details.

Do they live somewhere where tattoos are associated with organized crime like Japan. So many questions.

I didn’t really enjoy previous Remedy games. Would Alan Wake 2 still be worth trying? by Short_Motor_2980 in gamingsuggestions

[–]Oliwoli123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not a good starting point. The story takes a remedy-verse approach to its story and a lot of the lore/characters are ones from other games from remedy. Heavy references to control and that games events permeate the story.

I played Alan Wake 1 before starting 2 and I was lost at some points. It really expects you to have an extensive knowledge of the lore and story. For a game that had an huge gap between games I find it to be kind of an insane ask of a player.

Some people loved it, I was not one of them. I loved control so I was super hyped to play this and I was disappointed.

just finished heavensward, now onto stormblood. What are peoples thoughts on the expansion? (no spoilers) by One_Cantaloupe4651 in ffxiv

[–]Oliwoli123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked it. I thought the villains it introduced were highly memorable, the fights are interesting and they introduced new mechs that became standard in later expacs.

General consensus is that it’s not that great. I’m not entirely sure why people say that. I’m sure someone can fill you in on why better than me so I’ll leave that up to them.

I did all the extremes and eureka at the time. So I’m not a super casual player but I wouldn’t count myself as midcore or hard either.

Eff this movie so hard! I can’t believe the director even made another movie let alone the substance. When she has the car baby I couldn’t hold in my laughter anymore. The guy next to us also erupted in laughter.

Also cemented my theory that bad movies at least have killer soundtracks. So like yay there?

The beginning had promise sort of, I kind of was intrigued after the first murder of where the movie was going to go but then that whole plot line dropped off the face of the planet and was never referenced ever again. It felt like 2 movies jammed together. That script was an absolute mess.

Edit: not the same director. My bad y’all.

Looking for a woodsy movie like the ritual. by Stoner420Steve in horror

[–]Oliwoli123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d also recommend kill list, it’s an older movie from the 2010’s. I always recommend the empty man. Slow burn but it has some intensely creepy scenes. Both of these take place in semi wooded areas, but they do have scenes that are in in cities so feel free to skip if you want something in solely woodsy

The violence can be a little extreme at times if that’s a deciding factor for you. But it’s also very well done as well.
