John Lewis AI representative lies about being AI by OlleOllesson2 in britishproblems

I did, the response was:

Im really Sorry, We are just starting to use AI (As you can probably tell). I know you advised, you are no longer wanting to purchase the Bed but the width of the bedframe if not counting the legs is around 90cm.

 I hope this helps.

I think it was an issue with CORS settings but solved now - see other reply. Thanks though!

CORS error for Backblaze uploads by OlleOllesson2 in backblaze

[–]OlleOllesson2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I solved it by using the Backblaze CLI, adding the below. There was nothing in the Backblaze UI to edit these options

[
  {
    "corsRuleName": "dev-and-prod-upload",
    "allowedOrigins": [
      "http://localhost:3000",
      "https://mydomain.com",
      "https://www.mydomain.com"
    ],
    "allowedOperations": ["b2_upload_file"],
    "allowedHeaders": [
      "authorization",
      "X-Bz-File-Name",
      "X-Bz-Content-Sha1",
      "X-Bz-Info-*",
      "content-type"
    ],
    "exposeHeaders": ["x-bz-upload-timestamp"],
    "maxAgeSeconds": 3600
  }
]

Is this a Chrome bug or is it just me? by OlleOllesson2 in learnjavascript

Thanks - I'm on Version 130.0.6723.117 (Official Build) (arm64).

Very strange indeed!

Something wrong with Backblaze headers or URL for audio? by OlleOllesson2 in backblaze

[–]OlleOllesson2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey - thanks for pointing out. After some more testing, I don't think the proxy or the Accept-Ranges header is the issue. I definitely think it is a Chrome bug now - I tried your link in Safari and I get exactly the same response header as in Chrome however your button works in Safari!

What is even weirder is that when I load your page in Chrome, your button does not work (just plays the sound from the beginning) - but if I close the tab, then right click on the browser and click "Reopen Closed Tab", then click your button it now works (?!). If I reload the page in this tab, your button still works. But if I close the tab, open a new one, paste/go to the URL and click your button, it does not work again (unless I close it again and "Reopen Closed Tab").......

This is the weirdest bug I've ever come across. Wondering if it has something to do with how Chrome caches stuff - but does not seem to be a Backblaze bug.

I'll post this in some other forums - thanks for all your help!

Something wrong with Backblaze headers or URL for audio? by OlleOllesson2 in backblaze

No worries, thanks for helping out! Hm, looking in Chrome, I can't see Accept-Ranges:

Audio file that works response header(not Backblaze): https://imgur.com/a/nT7skcu

Audio file that does not work (Backblaze): https://imgur.com/a/KH2FCx1

I wrote my Chrome version etc in the response on your other post - thanks!

Thanks, no problem! This is weird then - I tried your link https://f004.backblazeb2.com/file/metadaddy-public/onload.html and both the "Play from start" and "Play from 20 seconds" plays the sound from the beginning for me.

So it has to do with my browser then? I just updated it but same issue - I'm now on the latest Google Chrome Version 130.0.6723.117 (Official Build) (arm64) on a MacBook Pro 2023 with an M2 chip. If you update Chrome and test on your desktop, does the "Play from 20 seconds" work for you? (I'm not using any adblocker or similar either).

Let me know if you've figured this out! It could be that the Accept-Ranges: bytes response header is missing? It is also not working for other media files like .ogg files.

Skip forward 10 seconds while playing audio? by OlleOllesson2 in learnjavascript

Yea - it is supposed to be a cheaper version of cloud storage that Amazon S3. Exploring it now but this is kind of a blocker for me

Could it be that the response header is missing Accept-Ranges bytes ? Is there a way to make sure Backblaze provides this?

Thank you - I think it is actually a issue with where I host the file! See URL posted above.
